Mo I've been to Leysdown some years ago not much there so didn't stay long!

Linda I would like to go back to Canada again, Toronto was nice, a bit hot, but lots to do, went over to the islands on the ferry. Niagara was great, went on the Maid of the Mist, then on to Niagara on the Lake which was very pretty, wish we could have spent more time there but the tour guide wanted to take us to a vineyard, that was good too, tasting the wine!!
I don't think I would go to New York again for a while, been twice but this time it was hot, humid and a bit smelly

Shelly you know you love having your OH around. Just think the kids do as they are told when dads around, (well normally they do )
What outings have you got planned then, come on split, tell us all about them.
Our day out turned out to be a bit of a let down. There was only five of us who went, the rest of the families kids all decided they wanted to do their own things. Mind you, they are getting older now, and when you get to 16/17 you dont want to be trailing round after your parents do you.
I just wish that my kids had thought to ask the grandkids if they wanted to go, and not taken it for granted that they would come.
Still we had a good time between the five of us.

Rita, I am sorry you are not feeling to good. Stay in bed, and rest. Have you told your family that you are not well. Perhaps one of them could come over and look after you for a couple of days. Even if it's one of the older grandchildren. I know you probably be worried in case they catch it, but you need a bit of tender loving care,and unfortunately, none of us are close enough to give it to you.

Cor Shelly and Marilyn, that new kid on the block in BB, is worse than having a 12 year old brother around. Sooner or later he is going to rub one of them up the wrong way,and then all hell will be let lose.

I bet Linda and Pauline are both out doing a bit more gardening.

Yvonne, have you ever been down to Leysdown. Well thats where we went yesterday, instead of Hastings. Nothing there has changed from the year dot down there. lol Still quite boring, but they have a great boot fair there now, loads and loads of stalls.

Today is Ok so far. 2 lots of washing out and almost dry. Pruned yet another shrub, how do they grow so quickly?

Hubby at work today. Off for the next 3 days. Already have things to do. Friends tomorrow afternoon. Wed I have little M and thurs the hospital then eldest coming to dinner.

Just a quickie.
I am still not well the doctor has been I have a virus I have sweats and shivers and am sick I have some pills. I have to phone him if I am not better by Wednesday.
I had to cancel my scan for tomorrow the Doctor told me to ask for another one urgent which I have done and I go 23rd August.
so I am still on this earth thought I would let you know. I have to go back to bed now.

Liz, it's a pity they didn't tell your OH about the suit earlier, it could have all been sorted by now. I hope this wedding is worth all the bother.

Yvonne do you want to go back to Canada and the US? I loved New York, but only for a few days. Would love to go again. Canada is almost our second home as I have cousins and an Uncle living there and have been a few times. I love Toronto, Niagara and further east where my cousin lives Napanee near Kingston. Where the singer Avril Lavine came from...... remember her?
Sue is still absent from here but I do see her on Facebook, so guess she is OK.
Pauline hope you are OK Thanks for the e-mails. Hope the ones I forward are new to you?

Yvonne, Mo, and all, thanks, he got the shirt from Primark but altho it fits well most places his fat neck won't let him fasten the button, but then he never does, just ties the tie to hide it, so he will try it with a tie later and probably be ok, just £3 it was and will look fine when it's ironed.
He went to Asda as I was too tired to go out, came back and said there was a grey jacket and trousers so together was £40, good price but when he looked he couldn't find his size, short and wide lol

He spoke to his son later and turns out brides dad isn't wearing matching suit to the groom and bestman either so now we can just get any grey suit, like a darker one which will look better, going to have to hope they get the size in in time.

I will go out this week and look for my shoes and such.

The bride had her hen party on Sunday pm, just a teaparty with her mates as three of them including her are pregnant. They are coming to Norwich next weekend so want to come round Sunday morning, what part of Liz has to sleep in the mornings don't they get? They could easily come after the mother has provided lunch but no, it's always to suit them and her, I think she doesn't like people around when she cooks.
Means he will be on my back to tidy up and vacuum cos he is on 12 hr days all week, and will probably opt for working Saturday if there is any overtime going. Muggins gets landed with the work again.
I was really tired after our shopping trip on Saturday and the crazy driving etc so slept a long time Sunday, as I have to get up and out to counselling today. Stupid idiot only got a few bits of groceries in Asda to suit himself and his packing up, so I will have to do a big shop this evening which had I been alone on Saturday would have managed then. He forgot to eat tho so by dinner time in the evening he wasn't feeling well - the diabetes - he is so useless at looking after himself properly but I get fed up with him always feeling unwell cos he doesn't plan his mealtimes properly.

Been a bit wet and miserable at the weekend, so hope this week brightens up again.

That's right Rita, go back to bed, it's the only way to fight it off. You need to rest and drink plenty of fluids. Mind you, if you drink a lot of fluids - you'll be up and down all the time to the loo. Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.

We've had rain as well Marilyn but it's stopped - so might go and hang the washing out again.

Jean, I hope you get plenty of rest today because you have to start back with you treatment tomorrow.

I've been messing about with hubby's lappy again, it won't do a Norton live update. I've contacted them and someone is coming on-line to find out what is wrong.

This is a quickie I have just got up I went back to bed this morning felt giddy and was shivering so I have spent the best part of the day in bed. I cant eat anything either.
I took a couple of paractmol .I have got up tp make myself a cup of tea. to see if that helps

dont feel too good this morning I ache all over wonder if it is Lady flu.? men get it so why not me. ?
truthfully my back and legs are killing me. and I am sneezing as well.
so I am not going to do too much today. dont want to be ill with my scan coming up.

Elizabeth you did tell me about your closures I did see somehting on TV about a palace where all those you listed were being closed.
you would thinik it would be a law that toliets should be installed in a large shopping aera. some of the big supermarkets do have them Sainsbury;s and Teseco's seem to have them in there stores unless they are small stores.

I dont think these people plan things right when they have these idea's of putting shops up in an aera with no toilet facilities.

It is very overcast here no blue sky only dark and light clouds floating above.

Marilyn, I don't like the geek, he looks like a bully boy. I can imagine him picking on young Andrew,coz he is a gentle lad and the type that gets picked on in real life.
