Ancestry World has some BMDs, censuses and the public record index. Remember each state has it's own system. If you're after a particular state, you should Google to see what's available. |

Some states offer vital records indexes. Google the state name and "vital records." Just make sure you select the state site and not a commercial site. |

Some libraries have digital collections. If the town name is known, you might be able to find online resources on the library's site. |
