Hi all ~~~~~~

I am having my breakfast now then must get myself ready to go to town for the day and evening (choir practice). I have to buy Phil some new slippers as the hospital seems to have mislaid his and keeps putting some smaller ones on him. They pinch his toes. I will use twink to write Phil on the tops of the new ones.

After visiting him it will be back to Papakura where I will find a quiet spot to curl up for a snooze before I do any shopping and then have dinner and choir practice.

Hi all, weather still lovely here although the wind was a bit chilly out of the sun today. Went to Lyme Regis and had a coffee before walking out along the front and right out onto the Cobb, being the French Lieutenants Woman of course in my head, back round the antiques centre and along the front again where we stopped and had a crab sandwich, in my case and a tuna baguette in OH's, sitting outside looking over the beach which looked really clean and sparkling. The last time we were there three years ago it was full of builders lorries and all fenced off as they were building extra sea defence and making a sandy beach, so it was good to see it revamped.

After lunch we drove back to Bridport and had a wander around, we went in the museum there which was really well done and interesting because OHs ancestors come from this part of Dorset to start with. I managed to find a craft shop in which to spend money (nothing unusual in that) so I was a happy bunny! We then lowered the tone a bit and went shopping in M*******s before having a meal there, OH had chicken tika masala (and now stinks of garlic,) and I had scampi and chips.

Back at the accommodation we took our cups of tea down and sat in a little arbour in the sunshine for an hour and it was really hot, too lazy to go for a walk. This evening we will just have filled pitta bread after our G&Ts.

Did you get the garden done Daff?

I am going out into the garden for the Great Autumn Tidy-up, lol

I shall see you all later,

Morning Daff and all:-) Nice, blue skies here right now but a bit chillier. Have done loads of de cluttering, am no longer going to keep things which I seldom use ....'just in case'! Have whittled bed linen down to a reasonable minimum. Bravo!!...*pats self on back. lol

Had an easy week, no work, so got lots of things done. Hayley and family popped in yesterday and when she left I saw my cushions had been re arranged! pmsl.....

Off to park with dog, we could hear the concert from here last night. Sounded good.

Happy Monday to all:-)

Just to second what Jude said. We all had a fab day at Usk show. Thank you so much for letting me know it was on. Great B&B in a nearby hotel. But the company was so good. We chatted for England even though we had never met before. Our husbands both got on well too.
Spent today visiting the Breacon Beacons, such beautiful countryside. Good journey home too, though a busy drive for my hubby. He's resting now.
These boards are such a good comunity, I said to Jude it was Ann in Glous who told me about the Vulcan flying at Kemble and now Usk show too, a mine of local info and great advice.

Keep adding everyone.

Thanks to all

PS THe weather was wonderful too, think I caught the sun !!!!

AnninGlos Report 13 Sep 2009 17:03

We walked about 6 miles,from the apartment today, lovely day, mostly sun with a little bit of cloud. Half over the cliffs and half across the beach, part of Chesil beach and under the Jurassic cliffs.We are quarted of a mile south of Burton Bradstock, on the cliff almost and we walked to West Bay. Stopped halfway, at West Bay before we turned back for 'home' for fish and chips, then quarter of a mile away from here for ice creams. Also had several 'breathers' and a sit in the sun on the way. The beach as it was yesterday, was full with children digging and paddling and even some adults in swimming, can't think it can be thar warm. Enjoyed it but we are stiff now, walking on the pebbled beach is a killer, so is climbing up onto the coastal path!! When we came back we sat in the garden with a cup of tea looking out over the sea. Who needs Tenerife??

MrDaff Report 13 Sep 2009 10:28

Morning all.... lol Huia.... yes, I didn't realise that *man-thing* was the same, either, lolol Has the cream started to work yet?

Maz... I am sure you'll do fine... fingers crossed, anyway... Gizmo sounds a real character.... he'll be all mended soon, I am sure.

Jude... my knife and fork are packed in my bag... what time is dinner, lol

I have just made a huge list of things to do this week, as R is off..... it looks very impressive, but if you look at it closely, I have broken it right down....ie, instead of *clean conservatory windows*... I have put *clean cons windows near pc* then *by french door* then *by dining table* so it is not quite so impressive, lol.... but much more manageable.... these steroids are very good mojo, lol!!

The weather here is wonderful again.... lovely sunshine with that crisp early autumn snap to the air... love it!!

Right.... must go and have some brekkie, and then get stuck in......

Be back later

Love

morning all Gizmo is a little cutie ,he is getting there i think he is getting a check again tomorrow evening ,He has no splint because he was getting pressure sores on the leg so he then ended up with this lampshade collar on which he managed to get off until i found a shade collar with a bell on that tightensup however he has managed to get it off once lol ,
he is on cage rest only out for food and the litter this is easier to control by going out to work and being busy ,the leg is far less swollen than it was however The nights have shortened sleep wise so I am getting tired .but its working .so its a bit like baby hours really lol
any way it means my chores are getting done the weather is cloudy again here but i think it will stay dry so got the washer on and My NVQ is nearly finished there is a lot of complaints about this course and i better have a good mark after all this hassle .I have had to delay my level 3 for a year and also delayed my maths level two until october to begin again
hope you are all OK and getting over the various medical issues and trials of life lol have a good day

Evening everyone... ~~~~~~~~~ to everyone

well, what a busy day, lol!! I had a lovely breakfast yesterday... then popped into Curry's and bought a new toaster, as the old one exploded and shorted all the electrics.... it cost less than a fiver from Tesco's last year, so it has done ok, lol but bought a somewhat more expensive one this time around... anyway... Hobbycraft is next door.... so whiled away a bit of time there.... back home, and early bed after dinner.....

Huia... I have to join with everyone, and had a giggle... but that is exactly what I had the biopsy for... they thought it was Lichen Sclerosis (sp)... but with the multi pigmentation they could take any chances as it can turn to cancer... anyway, it was neither... so the itching and burning should ease as time goes on!! I did ask my mum if I had always had it... she says she didn't think so... fat lot of use that was, lololol

I have been told to take photos, on a regular basis, to check for any changes lololol.... now where the blinking heck am I going to store those, lololol... I do hope no gentlemen are reading this, lolol!!

BC... I didn't feel very *panache- full* lolol... but am very very relieved now!

Jude and Linda, did you meet up?

Star, glad you are enjoying being back at work... I used to love working with the youngsters.

Maz... he'll settle down... and he is doing so well, too.. poor little thing!

Jean, the weekend has been brilliant so far... very carefree, lol!! And busy... two of my sisters came over for the afternoon... poor R hid most of the time, but kept us supplied with tea, bikkies and chocolate... well, skinny sister with them... life is just sooooo unfair, she can eat as much as she likes while we more rotund siblings look on with awe and envy, lolol

Vicky, I owe you a pm.... I'll get onto it tomorrow, lol...... hope all is well with you.

~~~~~~~~ to Sue M xxxxxx
Right.... am off to watch a bit more of Simon.... I can hear them all warbling, but can't see them from here......
Night night all... and thank you so much... I am fizzing!!
