Just heard that our third Grandson (17) has probably got glandular fever,, got to have a blood test next week. Hope it doesn't affect his AS exams. |

My son had this when he was 7 although its a teenage thing.Lots of my daughters friends have had this and its surposed to be caught by kissing?Thats why lots of teenagers get it lol.Hope he is better soon. Annie |

He was poorly when we were there last weekend and I did ask his Mum if she thought it was GF, she had also thought about it (after making sure he didn't have a rash as meningitis is also the first thing that comes to mind at that age.) He has been up and down all week but finally took himself to the doctor today. He is quite a fit lad so hopefully he will soon recover, although I know it can drag on a while. |

My friends daughter had it and used to go home at lunch time her boss let her have two hours so she could sleep then go back to work. |

It's really important when young people or anyone has glandular fever for them to take things carefully when they thing they are better, it can hang round for months and lead to chronic fatigue syndrome etc if they don't allow themselves time to get over it. |
