Hi all, I don't know whether this is the right site to ask, but have been frightened off the trying to find board. Is anyone else having trouble accessing the Ancestry site, I have trying all day with no success, perhaps it is just me, thanks.

Dear Annina

Hello,

I used Ancestry earlier but it was very slow to respond
and kept going back to previous page.

So I left it!

Try again tomorrow.

Why are you frightened of "THE TRYING TO FIND" board?

Now don't be a silly goose!

You know we will help and advise.

Just put:

1. The person you are trying to find.

2. Dates of birth, location, etc

3. What websites or info you have looked at.

4. What info or details you are looking for.

I will look out for your request.

Best wishes to you, Annina.
xx

Annina, Do I read you correctly are you trying to order marriage certificates from the Ancestry site? Forgive me if I have read you incorrectly.

You may find it easier to go to your GRO and order. The address is www.gro.gov.uk oh google General Records Office it's easier.

I have been advised by better brains than mine that this is your best option.

Hi it's me again sorry, yes,I know gro is the best site I forgot to say I was having trouble accessing that too. Managed to order 3 certs today after they faffed about making me change password, it happens every time I use it ,why can't they use paypal? Bye the way, still can't get any sense out of Ancestry, tried all day, all that money and I think i've only been able to use it twice. Trouble is, if I can't get on site, how do I complain? Anyway , thanks all for answering Luv Nina

Aunty Sherlock, next time you are trying to post a long web address look at this site http://tinyurl.com/ . It will shorten the address for you so that it won't distort the thread you are posting it on.

The one you posted will shorten to http://tinyurl.com/qw5ade

Thanks for that Maggy. It's made my page disappear right off into the ether somewhere. I might actually delete that post and see if it returns the page to normal. Hate having to keep reading across the other side of the room.

Ta muchly for the hint.

All right. That's better now!!
