Thats a film model, isn't it? Expensive way to do things in the digital age, but if you really want one, theres loads on ebay for next to nothing. You can hardly give away a film camera nowadays.

yes i can get one from Ebay, but just in case someone had one tooked away they don't use anymore, willing to buy it from them.

its one i used in the 80s, thinking of going back to 35mm film, after 8 years of digital cameras, we are not impressed, think it cost more to print them,

Where on earth are you going to get prints?

lol - the cost of film, developing and printing is horrendous compared to digital, where you just store your stuff on the PC and print it yourself for nearly nothing when required and only need a single memory card that costs coppers now.

I have an olympus clone - a chinon CA-4 with a 50m f1.9 lens on my desk in front of me now. For postage cost only, it's yours.

But any digital compact with a maco mode (most have them) and a small tripod will do a vastly superior job to the best film camera. Better still, get a half decent digital SLR and use ring flash - no tripod required then. That's exactly what I do.

MMMM, checked yesterday 24/27 6x4 prints which includes a free film around £7, thats not to bad, how much is photo printing paper these days to print off 24 pics.

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 28 May 2009 09:44

About £3.00.

ALso the beauty of digital is that you can check the clarity of your image at once, so you only need print the ones that are good. In other words, if you make a cock up with your exposures or whatever, you aren't paying to get rubbish printed.

Having said all that, I still use a hasselblad medium format film camera as a back up for weddings. DIgital still can't quite match the quality of that baby, at least affordable to me digital can't.

yea your right Eldrick, but how many like us just down load onto our puter, and never print them off, can't beat a photo album full of family pics, most of them rubbish with bits missing but still a good laugh
