It is my 63rd birthday on friday 5th June and it will be the first time that my husband will not be with me to celebrate. Now this is not a disaster at least he is alive and well but has gne home so I am in UK working out my short term contract, However it does feel very strange. I have known him since he was about 14 years old so he has been in my life for most of my life.
Does this all sound rather sad, especially when there is so much sadness in the world?
If anyone out there shares my birthdate I am sneding a Happy birthday message,

Happy Birthday for Friday. It's my birthday today but am 11 years older.Was 18 on Coronation day.
sorry you can't have your birthday with your OH.I am here with mine but it's just like any normal day as OH is housebound,but at least he is here with me,and already I have had 2 phone calls from Oz and 1 from France and 1 from Manchester,and it's a lovely day,so no complaints!Just glad to be around and in reasonable health.
Hope you can celebrate with someone.

Thanks for the kind message. I have organised a staff party where I have been working and teaching how to provide care for people with Dementia or who are physically very frail. They do not know it is my birthday as iIdo not want to steal their special achievement day.

Glad to hear that you have already had some special phone calls. I have received 3 birthday cards so far and have resisted theurge to open them until Friday. I was in Wales last weekend visitig one of my twin sons. he has moved to Swansea and I was amazed at the progress that has taken place around the Harbour, lovely cafes etc and a great museum with interactive quipmen

Rosalyn and Mau at the coast. Thanks for you greetings. I live in a place caled Peniscola (supposed to hae a line above the n but can't do it with UK laptop. It is a delightful place miday between Barcelona, where son number one has lived for the last 9 years and valencai which is an amazing city. We look over a small fishing port and the Papa Lunar castle. The brits ae quite small in number except in the school holidays and we are not in an angliscised area. Very Spanish and friendly.

Waht about all of you where do you live etc.
goodnight birthday well wishes, going back to work at 03.00hrs to train some of the night staff so now going to have a little shut eye " if I can sleep.

A very big thank you to everyone who sent message for my birthday. In fact i had a lovely afternoon and evening, Many staff came to ethe Indian/Chinese food evening and one of the staff made me a beautiful birthday cake and I was given lovely card signed by them all. They enjoyed the evening and when i left they were dancing and singing.
Today i am off to see my son who is back in UK after another tour of Afghanistan He has invited me to be his guest at the Mess dinner and as the youngest officer on his base he has to give the toast and at least one speech...
