Hi, If you want to tell everyone who you're backing in today's elections, please feel free. Please do not post abusive comments about other people's choices, just let's respect each other. This isn't about political debate its just out of curiosity.

So, I'm voting UKIP (or I would if I was old enough!)

I live in the north and on my polling card it reads..............EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION ~undecided as none of them do what you want.

Looks like most would like to see us come out of the European Union.

OH looked up to see who had attended the most meetings in Brussels for our MEP election, found the Conservatives candidates had attended most, so they had our vote.

Mo...where did you find that info please?

I've been having a look at all of the 12 parties that are standing in my area. The only ones I found with a comprehensive manifesto was the English Democrats....they want us out of the EU too.

I haven't actually voted yet as I'm still trying to make a decission but I will be voting

l sent a photo copy of my voting card to Gordon Brown yesterday with a red cross right across it and a note which said "l really do not want to vote for anyone, l really do not want the European parliamont and l think the whole exspenses thing wtith all parties is a disgrace"
As much as l would like to vote for UKIP's l wont because they are so new , so will vote Green Party, or right another red X across the original card and pop it in the box, still undecided!!

To be honest this is the first time I havent bothered to vote, Couldn't make my mind up as feel they are all as bad as each other !! The smaller parties wont have any teeth anyway in European votes so for me absention seemed the right way this time.
I dont do Political or religious debates as each to his own

Dear Matthew

I have voted for the same party all of my life, except on one occasion for the local council election.

The right to vote is a very precious one and even if you just spoil
the ballot paper, you still have the right to do so.

Many people around the world don't have this and
have fought and died for it.

Best wishes to you Matthew.

I was bewildered by the length of the voting paper today so I took some time to read through all who were standing before I made my choice.

I can't see the point in staying with the same party all of one's life just out of habit. That same party can't be right ALL of the time.

As has been said, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to vote and also the choice of several policies - and I think we should exercise this freedom wisely.

Where did I place my X? Ah, that would be telling.
