gillian, please take the milk away from the reach of the hedgehog as it doesn't agree with them. If you've got any moist cat food then put that out with some water.

I was told by a vet's assistant that it was ok to put out any moist cat food. Well I shall be having words with the person concerned about that and give her the web address you gave Whirls.

Gillian ,if you want slugs then I've got hundreds in my garden, chewing at my marigolds and daliha's. As the others have said you have a kind heart and show that you care for God's creatures.

That's a coincidence Gillian, cos early Friday morning when I was on here, the outside patio light came on, looked out and saw what I first thought was our rat come back to annoy us, but then realised it was a hedgehog snuffling round on the lawn, I went out to try and get a photo but camera was on the wrong setting, and it wasn't a clear picture, he/she scuttled off after a while posing along by the side of the shed and behind the greenhouse. Hope it sticks around, to clear up the slugs and snails. Haven't seen a sign of a hedgehog round the garden for years.

Btw, Gillian, there was a story in Take a Break this week about a woman who lost her daughter on the eve of her 20th birthday from SADS. Maybe it might be worth you writing to them at some point about doing some publicity stuff, if you could cope with it. You must be very tired with all you do already.
