Linda, I'm not a patient man!! :0))

The computer knows this and works on my weakness.

In this case, artificial intelligence beats impatient stupidity every time.

This site is stupid tonight - just posted to each of you - lost it when I hit Submit button, then had to sign in again. It already told me I'd requested to see Linda's tree, and I hadn't......Grrrrrrrrrr

Good Morning Allan, The Cyber Police will be visiting you if you mis-treat that computer...........

Diane I hope your throat gets no worse...suck a Zube.

Amanda, OH only sits outside the cave if it's not raining too hard.

Thanks for reply Linda.

Good morning Allan hope your computer is still working after it's hiding from you, if I was it I would sulk.

Tec did you get out to the garden on time ?

Diane

Tecwyn Report 3 Aug 2010 00:00

Yes I did Diane - dog just pretends to be desparate as an excuse to get out there, then has to inspect every plant in the garden just to aggravate me lol.

Just in time to say goodnight to everyone again! I'll be back later and hope that someone is around to talk to me!

LindainHerriotCountry Report 3 Aug 2010 09:48

I will always talk to you Berona

I can't stay up late though, I am need my bed.

As Tec has excused me from housework, today is going to be allotment day, there is so much that needs doing. I will have to break off later in the morning though to go to the dentist. It is just for the hygienist to clean my teeth. I hate that, but on my dental package I get an appointment every three months, so as I am paying for it, I have to endure it.

We have a new cathedral near here Allan, it is nice inside, but it just isn't the same as the really old ones. It is possible to build them in the old style. have you see n the Sacra Famillia in Barcelona?

Does your Oh know that you are getting strange ladies to pose for you lol

Diane

Diane Report 3 Aug 2010 22:09

Cheeky arn't I. Hope you are getting enough sun, if you were in my area you wouldn't have to do any watering.

Hi CC my throat is a bit better today and I am adding cinnamon to my cereal and in hot milk, doing the linctus but with whisky.

Good evening Linda , CC and Diane . ~~~~~to anyone else who is about .

Sorry to hear your throat has been playing up Diane . My daughters had tonsillitis a couple of weeks ago , so I hope yours doesn't develop into that .

Linda....we went to our allotment today as well : )) Looks like our neighbours up there are planning on keeping bees as there is a hive in place ...but no bees yet .

Diane

Diane Report 3 Aug 2010 22:24

good evening CC, I too use whisky for medicinal thing's, when I have toothacke or one of my grandchildren have toothacke I soak a cotton bud in it and place the bud on the affending tooth and it dull's the pain.

Good evening Amanda, I think the throat problem is more the dry type with a tickly cough, there is a lot of it going around, my son has it as well and I think I caught it off him. what is the weather like were you are, today it was cloudy here but I was able to do some gardening for my employer's mum.

CC....rhubarb is funny old stuff !!

Diane , it has been an odd day here weather wise . It started off a bit cooler ( so I wore my jeans ) , it kept looking like it might rain . By the time we got to the allotment the sun came out and it got really hot ! ....lol.....I went into melt down and wished I was wearing my shorts .

I can feel that the year has turned though as I'm starting to get twinges of the melancholy feeling I get in the Autumn .

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 3 Aug 2010 22:44

CC.......I like the idea of your Brandy cure-all : )) I tend to use Rum.....lol

I think that if you drink a good old goblet of spirit when your feeling ill it does drive away most bugs etc ....... well it works for me : )

Diane

Diane Report 3 Aug 2010 22:45

No CC, can't stomach it, used to take evening primrose oil, I know it isn't the same thing but had to stop takeing that as I had side affect's it made my upper women's part's sore ( sorry lad's ) and the Dr said to stop takeing it. I was given cod liver oil as a child and hated it then, I have tried it in capsul form but find it repeat's on me as I do a lot of bending over in my job.

It's not so much the winter blues CC ......it's just a sort of whimsical melancholy ( can't really explain it ) .....I always get like it as Autumn approaches.....sort of distant I suppose ?

We make wine sometimes ....not as much as in days gone by but OH has been keeping an eye on the Elderberries this year .....now that stuff really is a tonic !

Allan

Allan Report 3 Aug 2010 22:49

Good morning/evening all

CC my computer is only 4 years old and the hard drive is nowhere near full. I think that with all the deletions etc the hard drive needs defragmenting or the sectors sorting out.

I'm glad that you liked the pics.

Linda, I agree about Old catherals: many years ago I was in Coventry (the City, not the state of!) and the new cathedral did absolutely nothing for me, yet when I walked in the ruins of the old cathedral I could still get a sense of it being hallowed.

Without getting into religion, I do feel that centuries of prayer and singing etc must leave an impression on the buildings.
