Allan that would be Thetford chase the Airforce base or is it a Army base as well. My last holiday that I had in 1981 was in Thetford, and I enjoyed the area, I was going out with some-one who lived there and at one point thought I would be moveing down there to live.

Amanda, when I was in Thetford I visited Gt Yarmouth and many other area's in norfolk which at the moment I can't bring to mind.

Thanks Amanda.

Diane, I'm not sure but I think that we were on an Army training area.

If I recall correctly, I think that some of the scenes for 'Dads Army' were filmed at the same location; or perhaps it was that my own unit reminded me of Dads Army :0))

Amanda, I only ever get the urge to re-decorate on Sundays, but unfortunately we don't have any DIY shops around here that open on a Sunday - so I can't do it can I?....lol.

Tec - if you put it off too long, it will be a bigger job! and you will still have the sisterhood onto you to do it! I'm still feeling the same, but I've fixed my bedroom clock. I removed it to another room because I have been getting static in the radio ever since I came to live here, and it annoyed me. I have since learned that it is my 'old' style mobile phone causing the static - so I removed that and brought the clock radio back and voila! - no more static! Only took me four years to find out the problem.
I then forgot to set the alarm and it has been starting the radio at midnight!...No that I have 'fixed' it, I sleep through the hour of radio anyway!
No, the cat doesn't disburb me - she is still asleep on the foot of my bed and I am about to go and make the bed. That's when we have our 'difference of opinion'.

Hello Amanda - I did welcome you somewhere back along the line of posts, but it may have been lost amongst the posts which go on while you are asleep. Anyway, it's good to see you have joined in our conversations, although someone must have surely warned you that we can be quite 'weird' at time?

Goodnight Diane - this is earlier than I have seen you going on other nights. Still not real good when you are working next day - and what's with the gardening? I'm sure that's not in your job-description!

Goodnight Linda too, and to anyone else leaving us. Hope you all have pleasant dreams.

Good night Diane ...good night Linda ..... hope you both sleep well .

Allan ....your quite right about Thetford being connected to Dads Army , I think a lot of the scenes where filmed there on the MOD land .

Tec..... I'm surprised your wife hasn't got crafty and bought all the DIY equipment you might need for the task ....ready to produce it on a Sunday morning ......lol

Well I'm off to bed now as well as I can hear my big fat cat singing for his supper in the kitchen .

So night to you all and have a good day to the Aussies : )
