Sorry Allan I forgot to wish your daughter happy birthday.

Amanda I also wish your son a happy birthday ( double echo Sue ) :)

I love all berrie's, on my way to work there is a field that I pass that now belong's to Redrow ( building firm ) but as there is a ongoing dispute about building houses on the land by the resident's it is over grown, and there are wild blackberrie's growing on it. Every year when they are ripe I pick them on my way home as they grow over the wall surrounding the field.

My apologies Linda. Hoon has become a common word throughout Australia to describe someone who deliberately flouts the road rules.

Thanks Diane, and to all, for your good wishes for my daughter: I will convey them to her tonight :0))

That make's two of us Linda I don't have a William Morris either, in fact I don't have any Morris's at all, and Tec even though I am of Welsh origin I haven't come across any William's either. I do have a Jone's but mine is a Savage-jones so not as hard to trace as the jones 's.

I've had a recent development with my Morris's - or more to the point with my Williams's. I have a basic tree on Ancestry and within days I received a message from someone who's partner is related to my OH. OH's great grandma Morris was a Williams (and yes her dad was William Williams). She married a Morris and had 5 children - one of whom was OH's grandad. Great grandad Morris died when he was 40 but a few years later Great Gran had a son. It was his son who is now OH's new rellie. Happily I was able to send him info. photos and certificates. Sadly I found out from him how OH's great grandad died at such an early age. He slipped from a jetty while stepping onto a boat on the river Tyne. Now I want to find out if I can get reports from the inquest.

The next door neighbour on our allotment has lots of Blackberries Diane so I was able to get some last year. We always used to go Blackberry picking when I was young. I remember the scratched arms well lol

As it is midnight, I must go to bed before I fall over. I will look in in the morning, but won't have my laptop with me when we are away. We will be back on Sunday evening

Goodnight everyone up top . Enjoy your expo Sue and have a restful day Allan

Sue, the inquest report would have been in the local newspaper. I got a brilliant one for one of OH's rellies. i have access to the probable newspaper you will need through a library site.
Send me the death info and I will see what I can find for you

Goodnight again

Well time is getting on so before Berona shout's at me I am going to retire, the only problem with me haveing early night's is I don't get to talk to her Boo hoo.
Hi Berona when you look in, BTW the other night you said something on the line's of gardening not being part of my job, the answer to that is no it isn't but I do extra thing's for my employer's mum and gardening is one of them. she pay's me extra for these job's out of her own money.

goodnight all the night timer's and enjoy your day the day timer's

Goodnight Linda - Have a good weekend,

Goodnight Diane - sleep tight.

Good morning CC - I can say that as it's just past midnight for you.

The gardening expo is great. The only thing I found is that you need to be careful about some of the plants. No point in buying tropical plants for the area where I live. They may live but not flower - I found that out. Also bulbs for cold climates may not flower where I live either. Of course the stall holders don't tell you this but I suppose it's common sense.

CC, you are more than welcome.

I do have other pics taken over the years in Canberra, Syney, Melbourne and Brisbane. And plenty from Tasmania, with a particularly spooky one taken in the Women's Prison at Ross.

However, i do think that recent photos bring places 'alive' when being sent via the internet within a few days of being taken.

Thank you Tec - Linda won't mind at all:-)) Goodnight to you and your Duchess.

CC - that info. is really interesting. As OH was born in Co. Durham I have mentally asked myself that question and then thought no more about it. I'll add that to the notes I have on ancestors' birthplaces. Thank you. I must look out for the Bernard Cornwall book. The city of Durham is very nice especially down by the river and the University and Cathedral area.

I have lingered long on this thread so must take my leave as duty calls me. So I say goodnight to our British friends and a good day to our colonial peers.
