The balloons sound like a good idea Tec.

I have been to Blenheim, but it was probably about fifteen years ago , I remember enjoying the visit

Linda - I love to see little girls dressed like little girls and not miniature teenagers. My daughter bought Aimee a lovely frock with a little white embroidered cardigan to wear over it.

It looks as if we'll have a sunny day today. I have nothing much planned but after a busy weekend I think a relaxing day is in order:-)

After being a grandma to six, I think you deserve a relaxing day, maybe a little potter in the garden would be in order

After all the exercise, I am very tired,so I am off to bed. Goodnight everyone (Sorry Berona I can't wait up)

Goodnight Linda,
sleep well,

SueMaid Report 8 Aug 2010 22:53

Everything's asleep in the garden except the veggie patch and OH keeps that in order.

Goodnight Linda - sweet dreams.

Good morning/evening all

Sue I do hope that the young ladies didn't comment on the size of your eyes or teeth :0))

Tec, the last time I saw a helium balloon was at an office function and we were all talking with high-pitched, squeaky voices.

Linda, I'm glad that you enjoyed your break.

Good Morning Allan,

Hope you are bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning, as too is No 1 Cat.

Yes I remember doing funny voices with helium ballons too, quite good fun at the time, especially after liquid refreshment :))

Tec.

Allan

Allan Report 8 Aug 2010 23:12

Absolutely, Tec, although I don't think that the CEO and Shire President were too impressed. It was a Council staff function to which other surrounding Councils were invited to send representatives.

It doesn't help the image to have senior managers acting like school kids, but it was fun at the time.

I was almost finished reading when I saw Linda saying goodnight! Oh well, it's still Sunday there and most people like to get to bed early in order to face the new week. Pleasant dreams Linda.

Good morning, Berona, are you well today?

Tecwyn Report 8 Aug 2010 23:20

The senior officers were probably jealous Allan, because in their exulted positions they felt they couldn't join in the fun, but were dying too really lol.

Hello Allan and Berona. I well remember squeaky hellium fuelled voices. Does anyone remember making stink bombs in science class?

Allan

Allan Report 8 Aug 2010 23:26

Tec, the problem was that it was the senior officers, of which I was one, showing the junior officers the effects of helium on the human voice box.

I've never been one to conform with how senior managers should act (always, however, within the normal bounds of decency and good manners) and have often livened up otherwise dull council meetings!

Good Morning Berona,

How are you? Did you have a nice weekend?

That was very sound advice you gave on an earlier thread. I sometimes feel people forget they're not simply having a private conversation among friends. It is after all a very public forum and can, and probably is, read by many more people than we imagine, so too much personal detail is not advisable.

Berona - I should have written earlier post - not earlier thread.

Hello Sue,

I've been following your shenanigans on the other thread :0))

Allan

SueMaid Report 8 Aug 2010 23:35

I agree with Tec - very wise words Berona. I think people forget that it's the World Wide Web and can be seen by many.

Not shenanigans as such Allan......just stating my opinion:-))

Tecwyn Report 8 Aug 2010 23:40

Sue - I find it hard to believe you were ever involved in making stink bombs in science lessons. I always imagined you to be the innocent quiet litle girl in pink who wouldn't say boo - I am disillusioned.

Allan, I was more than once accused of setting a bad example to "lower ranks"........oh but what fun lol :))
