I see the room is empty again.....
I was waiting as I was reading for Allan to make a witty comment about the sofa.... sofa so good... he is still up to par.
Hopefully I will catch you all some time -
Good to see you Janet - you are a busy one, I used to ferry the girls to all sorts of places - now I occasionally get blessed with transporting one of the grandchildren... though most of the time I have to make an appointment to see them they lead such busy lives. I wanted to take Anya out last Fri night - she was busy - how about Thur night - no something else was on... Sat a no no so I tried for Sunday - I did make the comment that providing she wasn't playing an Angel in the Church play or some such. Then got the okay to pick her up after dance practice at the church. Yesterday she broke her finger playing netball.
Mind you my calendar was the same when I was youngster - my mother used to keep my dinner hot three nights a week for when I got home from sports practice etc and I was never home on the weekends.
Off to do drops in the eyes now. Then a shower with my clothes off - easier to shampoo and lather that way.

Hello Janice and welcome to the thread.
There's a mixture of Aussies, Brits and a Kiwi on the thread and we all post at different times but do manage to 'chat' around the Aussie morning time, but we do post outside that time frame, and sooner or later you will get a response.
I'm in WA just south of Perth

Hello Janice and welcome to the thread.
CC the only sane one???? No further comment.
Perse, it is a shame your granddaughter has broken her finger, but maybe she will have more time to fit you in now, especially if you are dangling the carrot of shopping trips in front of her
Tec, it wasn't really a black look I was giving you, more like one of pitying understanding.

CC I suppose that if you keep saying that you are the sane one, someone may believe you :0))
But please remember that I also posted on your Pantomime and Easter Egg Hunt Thread and I know the truth.
However, I'm sure that my lips can be sealed for a suitable sum (for me, not for a hitman!!)
:0))

Now "For Aussies Only", can someone please explain in simple terms what the forthcoming election is being fought on?
I have heard no genuine policies, nor costings, just a lot of deriding what each party proposes.
The party faithfuls must have been taking lessons from the Brits!!

Thanks for the photos Allan. Very interesting and showing you to be quite a good photographer.
Sorry, girls - but I did have to say that. I know we'll never hear the end of it now.
Welcome, Janice. You are not far from me. I'm in the big smoke, as is Colin - although I haven't seen him here for a few days. A couple of other 'occasional' visitors are somewhere around here too and our SueMaid is in the Illawarra district. The rest of them are either further north, south or west of our state or are just starting their day in the UK. Perse is our Kiwi. Hope you join us often. Don't wait to see anyone on here - just submit a post and someone will answer when they get here.

Allan - I have no idea what their policies are. I only know that I am tired of hearing their names and what they have to say and wonder if I can take another nine days of it!

Well I have had an interesting day. I drove to the seaside where we sometimes used to go when i was a little girl. Thanks to the wonders of fast dual carriageways, it took less than an hour to get there. I have pictures of myself on the beach in a terrible woollen bathing costume which was impossibly heavy once it got wet. n those days, there was no sun screen, so I always got really burnt.
The place was dreadfully tacky and the people... a shame really because the beach was lovely golden sand. I actually had an ulterior motive for going there and when Sue wakes up, I think that she is going to be very pleased.
I drove back down the coast, which was a pleasant drive. On the way back, I passed the designer clothes outlet,so naturally had to call in. I bought a skirt and three tops, well they were such bargains I couldn't resist.
I also bought a couple of outfits for Eve, she is doing very well, piling the weight on and starting to sleep for a little bit longer, unfortunately that is during the day not the night.

Good Evening and Good Morning,
Well you have all been busy today - the Council collected the old sofa and two tele's at 9am, so the neighbours didn't need to apply for a reduction in Council Tax because I had created an eyesore in the road. Because I live on a Private Road each property owns the area to the middle of the road and width of the property. This means we are responsible for the maintainance of the road between us. We each contributed to have the surface re-tarmaced a few years ago. Unfortunately the local farmer roars up and down on tractors and other farm implements daily, but never contributes to keeping the surface in good order even though he causes most of the wear and tear.
CC.......I have mentioned the programme "Murder in Suburbia" to Her Grace, she says thankyou, and will look out for it. Why are women so bloodthirsty?
Linda, Where are you thinking of swanning off to in your new designer outfits? Somewhere glamourous I expect.
Tec.

I have this mental image of you on the allotment Linda, looking like an escapee from Vogue, complete with Marigolds. It's bad for the old boys blood pressure - I am refering of course to the other gardeners, not your OH. lol.

Goodevening/morning all. I have not long come in after going out for work this morning at 7am. I went to a meeting after work to do with Liverpool Council changeing the way they apply Social care for adult's. They are planning to close 6 out of the 12 day care centre's they have for adult care, my employer's mum is very concerned as one of the one's they propose to close is the one her son attend's. They say they need to change the way they provide their care so that it serve's it's user's better ( wev'e heard that one before ) at the meeting what they said sound's not to bad in princible but it all depend's on the feedback from the user's how thing's will pan out. The problem is the younger user's have totally different idea's and need's to the older user's and to please the morjority will probably mean the minority will not be happy with the final decision. The biggest problem for my employer is he doesn't like change and has to have a routine, it is only 2yrs since he was uprouted from his last day care centre when it closed down, he is very happy in the one he is in now and if they do close his one there is no certainty he will be allacated a place in the new set up they are proposeing. Well that's all I know and can say on the subject for now, as soon as we are told what the final decision will be ( not till March 2011 ) I will let you know.
Hope you are all well and have enjoyed you day or have a nice day.
Welcome to the thread Janice and as other's have said we are a friendly bunch on here. I am in the UK and sometime's I am refered to as the (Liverpool Lass) started by Persephone (Perse) for short.
Allan I haven't heard you refer to the bin's lately, have you fallen out with them.
