Hello Diane, we posted together. It is difficult when people have to be moved. I suppose that it is going to happen all over the country as they try to save money

Goodevening Linda, Tec's vision of you down at the allotment in your finary made me laugh. I spent all yesterday afternoon doing the gardening for employer's mum after I had finished my care work, that is why I didn't put in an appearance last night, I fell asleep at about 6-30pm and didn't wake up until 10-30pm, I then had a snack to eat as I had missed my tea and decided it was to late to go on my lappy.

Good Evening Diane,

I think there will be many changes with all the proposed financial cut backs in Social Care facilities for the disabled and elderly. The authorities always say it will benefit everyone in better care. This is of course nonsense, and is all about saving money. There are many reports of residential homes for the elderly being closed, and old people being split up and transferred to other homes. All very upsetting for those concerned. If they were to prune some of the grossly overpaid Executive Officers prancing about shuffling papers in Council offices then they wouldn't have to find savings at the expense of the vunerable.
I hope things will work out for your employer without too much upset.

Tec.

I wondered were you were Diane, I hope you had an easier day today

Diane

Diane Report 11 Aug 2010 22:16

These changes were put forward at the request of the last goverment saying the old system is outdated and the uses have been telling them they want a different and more flexable way of receiving the care, that is well and good for the younger user but the one's who are older are saying they would rather have the type of care they already have. The new proposal's are fine for the younger parent's ( 35- 55 ) who's young adult user's are able to adapt to the new system but the one's who are worried are the ( 65- upward's ) they are not all in the position to be able to adapted well to change's ( not as mobile or are in good health as the younger one's ).

Hello everyone - you've all come on before me this morning.

Welcome Janice - hope you come back soon:-))

Linda - as my son would say you are a legend. Thank you - you know how much I appreciate the effort you went to. It must've been dreadful to have to go to the beach and buy clothes:-))

I had a very busy but productive day yesterday just catching up on a lot of paperwork. Then I went and worked for a couple of hours on our bi-monthly market stall. That means I get to chat to volunteers I don't normally see.

Yes Tec you are right but they would have you believe these changes are what the user's have been saying to them, would love to meet these people as the only one's at today's meeting were the older parent's of the older uses.

Linda today was less taxing on the body but very taxing on the brain, felt nearly as tired today as I did yesterday lol.
You can talk,I have read all post since I left the thread Monday and you have been very busy doing H***********k and other thing's, made me feel more tired just reading about it and look what you did to poor CC, I think I saw her meeting herself comeing back lol.

Good evening/morning all

CC you have thanked me twice now for the photos and that was no dolly bird that was my good lady. My OH wasn't with me on that trip!! :0))

Diane, the 'bins ' of change are blowing through WA.

We did see both Yes Minister and yes Prime Minister. I did try to model my later local government career as a senior manager on Sir Humphrey Appleby and I think that I may have succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.

I think that the two series were written by Peter Jay who was apolitical writer and son-in-law to a PM.

Goodnight and thanks again, Linda - sweet dreams.

It was good to catch up on the paperwork - I don't mind doing it but it has piled up a little.

Allan - I find the lead up to this election very unpleasant. I too would like to know their policies and what they have in mind for the future of our country but the constant sniping is wearing very thin.

I very much enjoyed the photos Allan - Albany looks lovely.

Tec - it's sunny but cold and windy. I prefer rain to wind.

Good Morning Allan,

Thank you very much for the photo's - they are very interesting. How bizarre that a prisoner should get 12 months off his sentence for acting as hangman. I like the subjects you choose to photograph.

I think Peter Jay was a Son in Law to Harold Wilson, but I may have it wrong. The series was brilliantly written, and I have the books.

Thank you all for your compliments. it is easy to take fair photos when the area is so scenic.

It wouldn't look good at the moment: over an inch of rain again and wet weather forecast until at least next Wednesday, but we really do need it.

Most of the major dams are below 30% capacity.

Sue I think the lead up to an election is the same world wide. Our illustrious leaders spent so much time sniping at each other, and whinging on about the past that nobody had any idea about their actual future policies.
Now we have a coalition government I fear for the future of the UK, and can see much trouble ahead, and mass unemployment.

ALLAN FOR PRIME MINISTER.
