Good night Linda

Tec I will serve my adopted country in any position that I am deemed qualified for>

So far i have been offerred a job at the local rubbish tip.

Tec our main parties appear neck and neck and even the leader of the opposition has stated that just because one side or the other wins it is not necessarily that that party deserved to win but that it may have been a protest vote by cheesed off supporters of the other party!!

Due to our type of electoral system even a vote for one of the minor parties could be a vote for either of the major parties depending on where their preferences have been directed.

There are very few independents.

I'm actually watching yesterday's head to head between the two party leaders and the only firm comment made was that the government won't be moved on same-sex marriages. I'm still not sure what either party's take is on refugees entering the country.

I think the shambles we've ended up with was the result of protest votes. Because there was no overall majority we were subjected to the somewhat seedy spectre of the two main parties bargaining with the third party in order to form a coalition.
Consequently we have ended up with an un-elected government lead by a complete buffoon - heaven help us all.

Tec.

Sue, I'm not sure what their respective policies are on anything.

It has all been so negative.

Good morning all. Good evening to anyone left.

What a lot of busy bees you have been! Allan, it's nice to know that you have been offered the position as a garbologist. You must seem to be qualified and you do have the advantage of being able to talk to the bins. The hours should suit you too. I would accept it if I were you.

Allan

Allan Report 11 Aug 2010 23:45

Good morning Berona

I shall accept your kind advice. Of course, a knighthood goes with the position as well as a dust mask. The knighthood is to keep my head warm when working on the night shift. It can also be worn on the day shift if i don't want to scare the kiddies :0))

Let me be the first to address you as Sir Allan.
Sounds nice.
You can still wear my beanie under your Knighthood if you are not warm enough.

Allan

Allan Report 11 Aug 2010 23:56

I shall be addressed as Sir Clive

And if I put on any more weight I shall be Sir Cumference :0))

Good morning Berona.
The sun is shining here,as i should for an August day, but OH is just about to set out for his weekly walk with the ramblers, so it will soon be raining.

CC, I like romantic movies and I am older than you, maybe I haven't reached that certain age yet. I hate any films which have violence or bad language in them and won't watch or read horror movies

Allan

Allan Report 12 Aug 2010 09:22

Well, that takes the biscuit.

CC I'll have you know that I've been insulted on worse threads than this!!

Incorrigle!!! Me!!

I have been known to take the odd $50.00 Corrigible payment for services rendered.

I shall now have to think about my future :0))
