AAAH bless Linda that is so kind of you.

Sue after what has been said on here I totally agree it might get a bit noisy.

No Tec I haven't but at least I would have a good reason for having these stupid headaches.

Diane , I've not heard of that condition before , it doesn't sound very nice , I'll have to read up on it ....my daughter gets lots of recurring headaches , she always has had them : (

I wonder if Sue is typing out her speech for us to edit ?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 13 Aug 2010 22:35

Diane I was also born in Wales into a very Welsh family, my father was English, and I was brought up in Southern England until I was 16 when I went to live with my Welsh family, but already spoke Welsh as my mother taught me from the age of 4.

Upstairs maids are supplied with bullet proof vests as we previously got through so many.

Tec.

OOOPPS, sorry Tec I didn't realise you were born there, forgive me. I remember you saying you lived else-where but didn't know you had been originally from Wales.

Thank'sLinda for the for-warning.

Tecwyn Report 13 Aug 2010 22:41

I could write you a good speech Sue - 1500 pages - they'll all nod off.

Diane Report 13 Aug 2010 22:47

Tec snap, my Birth mother ( not the one who adopted me) was also Welsh but my father like your's was English. I'm really sorry and I now recall you telling us you had been born in Wales.

Amanda you will find many site's on this subject and a lot of the thing's said on them can be confusing as sometime's the syptom's can be mistaken for other condition's, anyway there is a lot of information about it but there are syptom's that are not mentioned on all the site's so it has paid well to read quiet a lot of them.

1500 pages Sue , but how big is this paper you've written on ? ...lol I expect your ladies will all be needing a nice cup of tea by the time you've got through that lot !! ...lol

My Dad was born in Wales but he left before he was a year old . Nan was Welsh ( Newport ) but my Mum was very English . I feel a great pull toward Wales : )) Land of my Fathers .

I'll have a look / read tomorrow Diane .

Good evening/morning all

I haven't read all the posts since I was last on, but did see a couple re Friday 13th.

Let me tell you that , for me, it lived up to its reputation!!

First, problems with the computer. Very slow to load and then told me that security updates were ready to be installed, seven in all. Downloaded them and installed them and restarted computer as instructed, only to be informed that there were another eight security downloads.

By the time that I had finished faffing about it was 10.00am West Oz time. I had been trying since 5.00 to get on the boards.

Then, late afternoon my niece phoned to tell me that my step-sister had passed away.

We were not close as we were both adults when my father married her mother, after my mother died. They married in Australia and it was a few years later that we actually met so that it wasn't as if we had spent a childhood together.

We only met infrequently at family do's but nevertheless, her passing reminded me of the poem 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' by John Donne

What's wrong with a 1500 page speech, Linda. I think I will let Tec write it - it should be fun:-))

Hello Allan - it certainly wasn't a good day for you. I'm sorry to hear about your step-sister.

Hello Allan ...sorry to hear your sad news : (( I hope your step sisters family are ok x

Friday 13th hasn't been to bad for me . Just a panic as the toilet decided to spring a leak . The council worker came out really quickly and mended it so it wasn't to much of a kerfuffle .
