Good morning Sue,

No such thing as a free afternoon tea, eh?

Oh Allan, I am disappointed, i thought that you were being a domestic god in the kitchen, not having the boys around for a few beers

Hello Sue .....so pleased to hear your tea and speech went well and that you all had a good day . It's fantastic that such an amount of money was raised : ))

I take it that I can " stand down " from the stance of pretending to be difficult ? ...... it really would be quite a strain for me as I'm such an easy going person by nature ......lol

Good Morning Sue,
The Duchess is better today thank you.
Glad you enjoyed the Afternoon Tea - the food sounds wonderful - pity Allan and I weren't there. The charity obviously attracts a lot of goodwill and support which is terrific, and must be very heartening to those who work so hard.

There is nothing strange about the Welsh language - I was told it is the language of heaven - so you'd better all get swotting.

Tec.

Linda, I'm always a domestic god in the kitchen: and I rarely drink beer even though I do brew it. I enjoy a good red (ie anything cheap is good enough).

Nor do I gamble, or even gambol, when OH is choiring :0))

You're right Allan - no such thing as a free tea.

Do you really think I would allow you and Tec to write my speeches Linda? Perish the thought:-)) - and Tec do you think I would've allowed you and Allan to be there? Think about it.

My 4 y.o. grandson told me last night that he loves me and when I asked why he said that he was cold when he came back from his dad's place but I cuddled him and made him warm. I thought that was a pretty good reason:-))

That is so cute Sue.

It would seem that both Tec and Allan are saints with no vices at all, me i have loads lol

I have been doing my best to support the Aussie economy by drinking a nice red wine tonight.

Good Morning Allan, The Duchess is recovered thank you, but I'm not sure if that is because of, or in spite of me lol.

Linda, both Tec and myself are Gentlemen of the First Order.

We don't need vices to receive enjoyment. Just knowing that we won't offend the sisterhood is reward enough for us.

*sniggers quietly in the corner*

Modest as always, Tec, I'm sure that the Duchess has recovered because of you!

Sue there is nothing in the world so good as a cuddle from your grannie - a cwtch - and I'm not too old to remember.

As Allan and I are paragons of virtue, and the epitomy of sartorial elegance, and perfect gentlemen, you should have been proud to take us to the function as your escorts - most ladies would kill for the chance.

Rather than being saint like, I imagine you as Gentlemen of the First Order, first order at the bar that is

I only had one grandma that I can remember Tec. I do remember her in my childhood, she was nice, but | can't remember any cuddles at all

I had two Grandma's - one would hug me half to death on sight - the other never did once - she was rather cold really.

Allan Report 14 Aug 2010 23:17

Sue, sniggering in the corner is preferable to laughing manically in the corner. :0))

Tec, what more could I add. You have gone right to the core of the matter and I endorse every word!

Oooh - I like a G&T with ice and lemon on a summer evening.

Is it starting to get darker earlier in Pommie land? I'm noticing that it's getting darker later here now. I've also noticed that the darn birds have pulled all the spagnum moss out of one of my pots for nest building. Spring is on the way - yippee!!

I don't remember much about my grandma as I was only 3 when we came to Aus. Funnily enough I do remember my paternal grandfather. I have very warm memories of him. Not having my grandparents when I was growing up has made me determined to be a special part of my grandchildren's lives. My daughter's 3 are lucky in that they have two sets of grandparents and 3 great grandparents. My daughter makes sure that her ex-husband's grandparents see the children regularly.
