Linda, on start up the CPU maks a hell of a clanking noise which (I hope) is only the fan.

The computer is four years old but with all the updates to programs I think that it is becoming overloaded.

I haven't yet got an external hard drive but it is on my list of urgent purchases.

Yep, believe it or not, sometimes I just feel like being an observer!

I remember my son putting a new fan in my computer at one stage because it was starting to sound like Concorde.

I know that feeling very well, like being at a party but preferring to sit in the corner and watch. Not antisocial, just quiet.

Hello Allan - I understand that sometimes it's good just to read and not make a contribution to the thread. That's ok as long as you're ok. Our computer was making a racket awhile back and dropping out so we had the computer people look at it and it was the fan.

I'm concerned too about Diane. Hopefully she is resting and not ill.

Just thought I'd poke my pretty face in and say G'day:-)

My troubles still aren't over, but, life was never meant to be easy - hey ho!

I received the most wonderful gift from a cousin in the UK last week, it was a photo of my great grandparents grave. So while I was happy to see their final resting place, I also felt sad in the same instance.

You were all talking about plants a few pages back. My OH came home last Friday and had a box of bulbs given to him and was told he needed to plant the lot over the weekend, there are hundreds of bulbs all different types. He had planed to plant them last Sunday, but guess what, it rained all day. Hopefully this weekend will be kinder weather wise:-))

Good to see you posting. We miss anyone when they haven't posted for a while. Hope you can soon settle to posting more often.
Hunreds of bulbs! That should make a lovely show when they bloom. I wish you luck with them.

Carole, it is great to see you as well, you are so correct about life not being easy, but we get what we are given and have to make the best of it. It does seem a bit unfair though when you are the one dealt the bad hand lol.

It is nice when you receive pictures which help to bring to life the bare facts on our tree. Being in the UK, it is easier for me because I can visit the places involved,although some of them are at the other end of the country. I like sitting in old churches and walking down the very same paths that my close ancestors have trodden, it makes me feel all sentimental.

Planting bulbs is back breaking work,especially as you have so many f them, but they will make a lovely show when they grow.

The forecast for today is lots of rain here today,which is typical as along with OH I am delivering library books to the housebound today. OH always drives and I leap in and out of the car getting wet. Never mind, it is for a good cause.
