Linda....it's just fantastic when the little one gets big enough to move about and open your cupboards etc .......lol......you feel so proud of them that you make a big fuss over it .....then they do it again and again and again ......lol ...........I love my Grandchildren , I'm convinced they make me feel younger , until they go home and it catches up on me....then I feel as old as the hills .....but very contented : ))))

Good Evening Amanda,
It rained here today too, but I'm hoping for an Indian Summer like we had last year - September and O tober were lovely last year.

Tec.

Sorry Linda.....well actually no I'm not sorry:-))

I love babysitting but I'm usually exhausted when the grandchildren's mum picks them up. I do like the odd time I pick the eldest up from school. The look on his face is worth the hassle of having to find a park.

I am just looking round Amanda and thinking that my house is not in the least childproof, as they live at the other end of the country, sadly that won't be a problem very often

Diane Report 17 Aug 2010 22:43

They are darling's arn't they ( when there asleep ) my eldest is head over heel's on a boy at the moment, I met him last week and he seem's a nice lad.

Coventry Linda, but isn't that nearer to you lol.

Oh dear Diane, you are right, so maybe I had better to send her to the south pole instead

Diane

Diane Report 17 Aug 2010 22:46

Well Tec if the paper's are to be believed you've got no chance, and I don't know which country you were in last year as I don't remember any Indian summer, unless you hogged it all.

Diane

SueMaid Report 17 Aug 2010 22:48

Why are you sending me to Coventry Linda - have you found some of my rellies there?

Oh it's the south pole now - I don't think there's any rellies there:-)) Why am I in so much trouble - Tec was more insulting than I was. Are you playing favourites?

Hello Tec : )) I love your optimism there , with the hopes for an Indian Summer ....... I hope 100% that your right : ))

Linda , my home never got the chance to stop being child proof really . As a mother of four I had everything precious etc put up high and I refused to give up the full sized fireguard ( just in case the teenagers got silly in play fighting etc ) so when my eldest had her first child at the grand age of 17 it didn't take much modification to make the house baby proof again .
I live in a perpetual state of " be careful " and " mind out " though ....I think it's my " natural " state now .....lol

That is true Sue, so I shall now give Tec "the look"

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Aug 2010 22:52

Diane it's brilliant you have your own laptop - it will save having to wrestle your son to the floor every night for his.

Linda, I f you're thinking of sending me somewhere, could it possibly be somewhere more exotic than Coventry?

Tec.

Diane

Diane Report 17 Aug 2010 22:55

Must go and have something to eat as I came on here before I'd eaten, as I didn't want to miss you all.

I will say goodnight and have a nice day now as it will be nearly bed time when I have finished, ( arn't I being good ) mind you I am shattered as I haven't had my usual nap this afternoon.

Tec is used to "the look" so it probably doesn't worry him anymore:-)

Amanda - I can't believe that 3 little kids can cause such havoc at times. One good thing is that my daughter always makes the children put away any toys they have out. At the moment they want to draw and colour in. Eldest grandchild is writing really well and now he wants to make cards and write in them.

More exotic than Coventry, let me see - OK you can go to Hull Tec, you can look at the big ships in the docks

Goodnight Diane

Enjoy you dinner / supper Diane and well done with the laptop : )

Sue .....my two eldest ( nearly 8 and 6 ) like making cards , I like to expand their artistic abilities but they just can't except that sticking a wopping great button or some such object onto a bit of paper / card with a pritt stick , just won't work ...lol
