Hello Berona

I fear all the up toppers have gone to bed (they have this huge bed they all share) and Sue has gone shopping yet again.... another pair of shoes will be purchased no doubt.

Janet breezed in and maybe still around and Allan is back from the funeral.

Hope you have had a good night's sleep Berona?

Persey xx

Persey, we actually got back on Wednesday but the computer has been playing up and running very slow. It's easier not to get on the internet at times :0((

We are in the process of ditching aold files no longer used and found over 200 deleted messages in Outlook. They have now gone!!

Awwwww! And I thought I was early!
Yes, thanks Persey, I did have a good sleep - 8 hours this time, and I hopped out of bed before I went back for another three hours. That's what I've been doing - 12 hours yesterday (8 straight; awake for about 20 seconds and back to sleep for another four hours). I really don't need that, so I'm trying to train myself.

Well, goodnight to those who are retiring and I hope you have pleasant dreams, if any. Take care, all of you.

Excuse me Miss Persey - when was the last time I bought a pair of shoes?

last week Sue???
I must admit, i do have lots of pairs of shoes, well mainly sandals. OH despairs when i come back with more. We have an excellent shop in the town which sells large sizes and wide fittings which is what I need (Looks at feet and sighs). I only take a size eight,so that is not too bad, but my feet are wide,so all the bargains you find in normal shops are usually too tight.

Sadly the lady who runs the shop is retiring, she is having a closing down sale, naturally I have visited...

I was thinking about your feet the other day Perse. Is you foot all healed now? The top of my foot still aches from time to time. Yes mummy Berona, I know I should have got it x rayed.

I love shoes and handbags - so Persey knows me well:-)). Hope you all have a good day. It's been freezing cold today so I've stayed inside most of it.

It is a lovely sunny morning here Sue. I do so enjoy being able to say that to those down under, it is a refreshing change.

I have loads of tomatoes and cooking apples from the allotment, so I am going to make tomato and pepper chutney today. i also have meals on wheels to deliver and I suppose I had better clean out the chest freezer before it goes mouldy

Persephone Report 27 Aug 2010 11:33

Well the red shoes bought a while back were a steal so I know you couldn't resist them. Then there is a thread somewhere (want me to dig it up) about shoes that Suemaid started so there Sue Imelda!!! Love you to LOL....

When I was young I used to have oh so many shoes - sandals - I had them in all colours and then the shoe industry really took the joy out of shopping they went all red, white and blue one summer and I had broken my purple ones and wanted to replace them. How did I break them I hear you asking - was at a wedding seeing the bridge and groom off came down the narrow part of the winding staircase shoe heel broke on the steel edging of the stairs and I slid down bumpty bumpity bump on my btm - OH missed it he had gone outside to wave good bye and when he came back I was on the couch in the foyer. I sat with a great deal of difficulty on only part of my fundament going home that night.

Don't you laugh Linda!!!

Berona Report 27 Aug 2010 12:18

Hi Persey,
My wrist was broken at a wedding. On leaving, my high heel caught in the stair carpet and I, too, went bumpity, bump and landed on the bottom step, sitting on my hand. Lucky I tripped on the third step, so it wasn't far to fall. I only thought I had sprained my wrist, so wrapped it up tight and wore long sleeves for a couple of weeks....Years later, when osteo arthritis arrived and my wrist ached, an x-ray showed it had been fractured and the two bones had knitted up separately. Don't know how to explain that, but when I bound it up, I should have done it much tighter and I might not have had the trouble. Anyway, I never stopped typing so it taught me to keep my wrists very still and the fingers do all the moving.

Persephone Report 27 Aug 2010 12:41

Oh dear Berona - you really should have had it x-rayed at the time.

I bumped down that narrow part of the winding stairs - I must've said a few choice words when I reached the foot of the stairs - my mother's cousin (the one that will be 91 in Oct - she was mother of the groom at the time) heard me - she helped me ( was laughing at my language and said to me it's okay I don't think anyone else heard) and didn't get outside to see the couple off. It was probably their downfall as well as that marriage did not last long. He married again and they adopted two Russian girls.

I did end up with a shocker of a bruise and that side of my posterior for sometime acted as a barometer - ached when it rained.

I must away to bed now as it is heading for midnight here.

You sleep well tonight Berona and dream of tangoing your way around the world.

Lovely day here, sunshine, blue sky, no wind.

I'm off to town to the cottage hospital with OHs leg.......
I expect the rest of her will come too.

Bye,
Tec.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Aug 2010 18:30

lol, I would hope so Tec,

You are being very brave in teasing me,I am sure Sue will have words with you

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Aug 2010 19:16

Well, as we know, my teasing is not universally appreciated Linda. But Sue has given me a special dispensation to tease you. I don't know why.:)) ...........You'd best take it up with her.

I did take OHs leg to the hospital. She did agree to come along too, so that solved a lot of problems, and she came back with it too.

Tec.

Oh if Sue has given you a dispensation, that is all right then.

I am glad the Duchess still has both her legs, having to hop would look silly

Hello people .
I have just read back though the thread ( which makes a change for me ...lol ) .
I had to giggle at Perseys notion that all us Brits sleep in one huge bed......lol.....I'm not looking forward to my turn at changing the quilt cover for a bed THAT size .
Linda .....I think you must have my feet .....size eight and wide fitting , do you have bunions ? I do , they run in my family ...lol

Hope you got a good amount of shut eye Berona .

Tec .....I'm pleased to hear that the Dutchess and her leg are so attached to each other , I hope the DRs visit went well today .

Is Sue a shoe hoarder ? I never liked buying shoes as a youngster ( having such large feet back then was miserable and it's scared me for life I think . ) .
