I've been busily ferreting around in the FamilySearch Pilot site, it's adictive, had most of the info I could find, but did find two marriages I didn't have. Confusing where it gives two marriage dates, quite close together for the same person.

I have a contact who is convinced we will all end up in a huge genealogists asylum, muttering in corners. It will be like one big meet - I'm quite looking forward to it really.

Err no I don't have bunions Amanda.
I think the Duchess might object to Tec sharing a bed with us, he will have to have his own room as there are no other top side males

Good Evening Amanda,

Hope your weather was a terrific as ours was today, hot and sunny.
Are you off
anywhere for the Bank Holiday?

OH got on fine at the hospital, it was only for a dressing on what they think is an ulcer - she is diabetic so that complicates matters - she did agree to take both legs in the end :))

NO Miss Amanda - I am not a shoe hoarder. See - you lot have given me a reputation. Tec do your best teasing Linda. That's what she gets for telling fibs about me and shoes. Oh and you can tease Persey too for starting it:-))

I've arisen to a blue sky and no wind. I do hope it stays that way as my daughter is hosting another birthday party - this time for Drew. He is so excited. I wasn't going but he told me I have to so I'll drop in for an hour.

Your place at the asylum is booked Amanda,

Of course I will have my own room Linda, en-suite facilities, mini-bar, internet access, room service, and a nice view.

You don't want much Tec, i was thinking more on the lines of the cupboard under the stairs

Hello Linda .....well I'm glad you don't have bunions .

Hello Tec ......I hope your wife's ulcer heals well and quickly , they can be quite a problem I understand .

We have no plans for the Bank Holiday .....I have found over the years that it's best not to make plans , as we have a fairly large family there is usually some sort of mini drama / crisis going on ....lol
And the weather is being to unpredictable to make plans .

Good Morning Sue,

I don't believe you are a shoe hoarder Sue, but find it rather sad that you only have two pairs, one for best, and one for everyday :)).

Yes I will continue to tease Linda, and Persey too.

Hope you enjoy Drew's party, is he also having a themed cake?

Hello Sue ....you came in whilst I was typing . I'm pleased you have better weather today . I hope you enjoy the birthday party later.

Can't Tec have a cupboard under the stairs with a view Linda , even if it's just a small window with a view on the back yard ? ....lol

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Aug 2010 21:54

As long as he doesn't have a view of us, that will be fine

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Aug 2010 21:57

Linda would just shove me in the cupboard with the hoover and mops and buckets if she had her way - no finesse.

I have a little more than two pairs of shoes Tec:-))

Drew is having a Toy Story 3 cake. My daughter went to a local fancy cake maker and bought an edible icing picture to top the cake. They didn't have one on the shelf so they showed her a picture on a computer and then printed it onto icing!!! Incredible. So she just made a plain cake, iced it and laid the picture on the top. A few little figurines and there you have a cake to delight all the children who will be there.

If you lot are going to bicker go somewhere else where I don't have to listen - I sound like my mum:-))

I think you are only going to the party to get some cake Sue. We have noticed how you keep nipping off to afternoon teas

We're not bickering Mother - anyway it was Linda.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Aug 2010 22:06

We are not bickering, just teasing gently and that was your idea Sue

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 27 Aug 2010 22:07

Linda .....is Sue really a cake hoarder ? .....lol

My Grandson had a birthday cake with Bob the Builder on it ( when he was two ) , I remember him intently picking of the fat icing head , he looked at it for a moment or two , then sank his teeth into it ......I wondered what was going though his young mind as he ate his hero !
But I did end up more or less shouting " bring the head of Bob the Builder " ....and collapsing into fits of laughter .

I don't know if I'm typical of my gender, but I hoard wood - can't bear to throw good wood away, so I save spare wood and offcuts from various DIY projects - in cade it comes in handy - which it rarely does, but I have to save it.
