Goodnight Tec - sweet dreams to you and your Duchess.

Goodnight Diane - sweet dreams to you also.

Amanda - I'm not a knitter or crocheter. I have done a little crochet but I wasn't very good:-))

Now, you're talking my language - knitting and crochet. My mum taught me to knit but she didn't like doing it - although she did beautiful needlework. I made my first jumper when I was 8 y.o. and did all my own knitting from that time on. Between the two of us, Mum had a beautiful trousseau when my brother was born.
I kept all the books for the day when I had my own babies - but by then, baby boys weren't wearing dresses any more - and I had three boys before I got my little girl!
I also hoarded wool and in recent years, have made 'spare' blankets for them all, and for their caravans. I can't even use up the hoarded wool because I make so many squares, then feel that the rug is 'lacking' in a particular colour, so I go out and buy more!
I can't crochet any more because of arthritis, and when I do make something, I stick at it until it's finished and make my wrist ache - so this year I have made nothing. I will probably get the 'bug' for knitting when the temperatures soar again.

Good morning Berona,
I must admit that I am hopeless when it comes to knitting and dress making.
I did learn, mum taught us as she was good at making things. My sister must have inherited that particular gene because she is so good at making things. She scrunches up a piece of fabric and it turns into a dress. She knits, crochets and does embroidery.
I on the other hand struggle away and it only looks half decent when it is done.
The only thing I can manage is curtains, I have done some fancy swags and pelmets over the years (when they were in fashion).

Hello Diane and Tec.

Have you finished the dining room yet Tec

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Aug 2010 21:39

I just knew you would ask me that Linda - no I haven't.

In fact I've had a really lazy day doing nothing except checking things on my tree - I found it rather cold today. Maybe I should think of making a door for the cave to keep out the draughts, and the sheep.

Tec.

Hello everyone:-))

I'd like to know if Tec has even started on the dining room yet, Linda. If not it's about time you got a move on.

Good morning Sue, i saw you somewhere else lol

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 28 Aug 2010 21:42

You could pile the sheep up at the door and that would keep the cold out

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Aug 2010 21:47

Good Morning Sue,

Don't you start - it's bad enough having Linda on my back - I may get on with it tomorrow, then again I may not.

Thank you lovely Diane for not joining the Sisterhood in nagging me into action. A lady who can handle mens tools would know not to nag about using them.

Not sure about that last sentence Tec;-))

It's blue skies this morning although it's so cold I don't think I'll be wearing my Bondi Beach babe outfit.
