I am glad that you are laid back Diane. Have you been at the alcohol???

The Salvation Army and Red Cross op shops used to have really good bargains in china etc but now they have got all pricey and competing with the antique shops. There newer stuff can often be bought cheaper at a retail outlet, shame really when the money is for charity.

I have a favourite op shop though in a place called Katikati but it is too far away for regular trips... I always manage to find something there - found a very good travel on the plane hand bag there for $4.00. And I ummed and ahhed over a cup of coffee (about the same price) while I thought about it.

Go to the top of the class Linda - NZ always has to have different terminology from the norm.

Hi Perse,

These girls are all being naughty today, must be the change of seasons.
Good luck with the Gib board.

Diane's got a bottle of Bailey's lurking in the wardrobe, it's time she finished it.

Tec.

A nice big glass of red wine, Diane?

Hi Persey - it would drive me mad sitting in a pile of rubble. I hate renovations. The bathroom and kitchen were enough for me.

Linda's writing in text talk now:-))

If only I could Diane - if he was alive he would be nearly 106... he made it to 93 and a half. He was a great do it yourselfer - I had a window winder knob (before we had automatic windows) in the car break and they were quite expensive new so he attached a black cotton reel and it worked like a charm. I forgot all about it and resold the car with it on.

Persephone Report 28 Aug 2010 22:59

Agog? Is that painful or quite pleasant?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 28 Aug 2010 23:00

Why agog? We are just chatting as we always do?

Diane

Diane Report 28 Aug 2010 23:01

Sorry Perse when you said makeing something for Dad for father's day I thought you meant your Dad.

Tec you won't believe it but when I went to the wardrobe to get the whisky I spotted the Bailey's and guess what that is what I am now drinking on ice.

Sue hun here is your glass of red wine, it's in a half pint glass so i don't have to fill it up.

Are there anymore order's before I settle down to natter.

Tec's lost for words - frightened that anything he says will be jumped on by 4 very clever ladies.

Quite amusing actually Perse - I'm frequently agog these days.

A Gogledd in Welsh is a North Walian, so I suppose I am a GOG :))
