Just popping in for now to say Hi
Pat, the Festival is actually called The Matthew Street Festival but it include's a week of International Beatle's Week which started the 25th September and ended on the 31st, The Matthew Street Festival was only 2day's the 30th and the 31st September and it is absolutely choker in the town centre over the 2days so if you don't like crowd's you don't venture into the city centre.
Perse hope the secondhand book shop is alright.
Hi Carole I hope your brother is ok and not haveing a problem with the flood's.
Hi Berona, hope thing's are fine with you, we don't get to speak to each other much since I started to go to bed at a reasonable time.
I hope to be back later so will catch up with the rest of you then.

It has absolutely poured with rain all day in Wild Wales - we had a severe weather warning forecasting 2 inches of rain in 24 hours, I think we've had at least two inches already. I didn't take my dog for his usual walks - I don't mind walking in the rain, but he is old, and walks slowly now, so it wouldn't do him any good.
I of course am not old - neither do I walk slowly.
Sorry to have missed you again Berona, but I was in dreamland when you came on - hope you are well as you can be.
Perse I hope the physio didn't subject you to torture - the ones I've met seemed to have sadistic tendencies and don't feel they are doing their job properly unless you are actually screaming. I can understand your OHs concern about the secondhand bookshop. I used to regularly visit a wonderful secondhand bookshop, and could have spent a fortune there. One day it went up in flames, everything destroyed, I grieved for ages over all the books in there that I would have liked.
Carole I'm sorry to hear all about the flooding, but glad to hear you weren't badly affected. I think your rain has reached us here in Wales.
Pat - Of course Father Christmas exists. Have you got your next book lined up? My OH ordered another pile of thrillers today from her book club.
Diane - I'm sure you've only heard about the Beatles, because I know you're not old enough to remember them - I do.
Amanda I bet you've been out in that garden today - lucky you.
Tec.

I haven't been to the physio yet Tec - have to make an appointment.
After the news about the earthquake yesterday the radio person played The Beach Boys singing "Good Vibrations"
They are due for Mayoral elections in Christchurch and the sitting Mayor Bob Parker (ex TV Personality) has been challenged by one of our MPs Jim Anderton. Jim had been really leading in the polls and it looked like Bob would be outsted. Jim told CTV on Friday that it would take an earthquake for him to lose the election race against Bob Parker. (oh dear) Bob Parker has come up trumps during this disaster and has handled the whole situation very well.

Good Evening Tec , Diane , Pat
Sorry to hear you've been suffering with rain , it has been a reasonably pleasant day here , with some sunshine ( and yes Tec I did manage to get out into the garden but only for a little while ) .
Well done Sue , for guessing the Chittlins and jott correctly ....yuk indeed ...lol
I have the baby Granddaughter again tonight , I've just put her back up to bed , she went down ok earlier but when I peeped in she had been sick ( which is what happened last time she stayed , I hadn't even heard her coughing this time , so if I disappear suddenly you know I' m back on duty ) .
Tec ...does your dog fret if he misses his walk ?
~~~~ to Persey , Carole and Berona : )
Good evening Tec and Pat
Good morning Perse
Tec as much as I'd like to say I don't remember them I have to say I do but mainly because my elder sibling's used to alway's play their record's especially my older sister who went to see them in the Cavern when they played in there. We only got the rain about 2hrs ago but it has been very windy today.
Perse that was not the best of song's but some people like to make a bit of harmless humour about a tragedy. I bet your Mayor wishes he could eat his word's.
Pat not the best of weather for you today hun, I think we have seen the last of summer.
Good night Pat sweet dream's
Hello Amanda, what a shame your granddaughter is being sick again, does sound like she has baby asthma if she is coughing and then being sick, that is the way my youngest son used to be even now if he get's a chesty cough he end's up being sick and his Dr has given him an inhaler for when this happen's and it help's open the air way's.
Hello you motley crew - hope you are all well.
Hope your little girl is ok Amanda - they bounce back pretty quickly.
The floods in Victoria are very concerning. The last I heard the news Shepparton were preparing to evacuate so I hope Carole's brother is ok. I love Victoria and as Persey says all the towns are great.
I didn't know there was a fourth unpublished novel by Stieg Larsson. I hope any problems can be sorted and it can be published. They'll need to do a lot of books because there'll be a rush on them.
It's overcast here but no rain yet and that darn wind has dropped.
Perse - Seems like that DJ has a sic sense of humour - may the best man win the election.
Amanda - Glad you had a reasonable day in sunny Norfolk. My dog does sulk if he doesn't get his walk, which isn't often. His sits and stares into my face - then sinks to the floor with big dramatic sighs - He has always been something of a drama queen lol.
Goodnight Pat, sleep well - keep warm, Tec
Hello Sue....here's hoping your weather is going to improve .
I hadn't heard about the floods ( I don't watch the news very often ... I hope that people can get to safety ) .
I think it might be baby Asthma that my Granddaughter has but the Dr's are reluctant to diagnose it until a certain age . She certainly isn't coughing as much as she was and she is cutting yet another tooth , possibly two ? so perhaps that's what is aggravating her .
Pat's already gone to bed - but goodnight Pat sweet dreams.
Amanda - my granddaughter has an "asthma plan" although the doctor doesn't really think she has asthma. It's just so we know what to do if she gets wheezy and breathless.
Well Sue ...I guess forewarned is forearmed , so I can see the sense in alerting you all to the signs , I hope your little one never does develop Asthma . My big fat white and ginger cat has just decided he has to sit on my lap , which is a bit unusual for him , I'm sure he is using me as a way to get dry as he is a bit damp round the edges ....lol
