Cats are masters at sulking aren't they ....lol .....it's actually quite nice to have the fat one on my lap as he is doubling up as a fur lap blanket . He is my " old " one now , being nearly 13 I guess .

Animals are far more honest with their feelings than some of us humans.

Hello Sue - if we are the motley crew what does that make you?

I only dabble in motley from time to time..... sori no it's Merlot I dabble in got them mixed up.

Think it might be a long night for you Amanda...

The flooding in Victoria is really bad... My front yard doesn't look too good either - chap came to install new fence this morning but the ground is too darned wet for them to do anything.

We used to have handicapped cats Amanda - he was a Marmalade and she was a Calico - they were brother and sister - they had what was like cerebal palsy. When I had my bookshop I was telling a customer about them and she asked - are they in wheelchairs.... LOL.

Hello Persey .....when I was in my teens there was a little corner shop up the road , they had a cat ( Sheba ) who was disabled , she could walk but in a jerky sort of way , when she was a little kitten she had been flung out of a moving car , the shop peoples daughter was traveling behind and stopped and gathered her up , she had sustained nerve damage in her spine ( hence the bad movement ) but do you know she lived to the ripe old age of 15 , she was a sweet little cat .
Your two sound interesting , I bet you miss them a great deal . they sound special .

Diane Report 6 Sep 2010 23:13

Hope your not floating off somewhere later Perse. At least you know were you stand with animal's, not like some human's, ( like our FRIEND Sue )

Amanda my cat is 13 too but you wouldn't think so some time's, she dive's around the flat from room to room sometime's when she is haveing one of her mad 10minites, it is usually when she has been on the veranda and I think she does it to warm up.

Amanda2003 Report 6 Sep 2010 23:18

LOL Diane .....they are funny when they get the wind up their tails ....lol

My big fat one spends quite a bit of his time boxing with the youngest one ( a small black female ) , she is only about a quarter of his weight ( he is very fat ) yet she still knocks him over sometimes ....lol

Persey .....I hope your weather dries up soon and then you can get the fence up as planned .

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 6 Sep 2010 23:20

Maybe Tec has braved the rain and gone out into the dark with a torch and his dog ?....either that or his looking in his cupboards for supper .

Sue is probably flitting about ....lol

I'm here - I'm back - I've been doing things, alright for you lot sitting there with nothing to do all day - reclining on the sofa being fed chocolates, grapes, and glasses of wine.

Runs to hide...............................

I was having breakfast. And what did your comment mean Miss Diane?

I'm the Captain of this motley crew - doesn't look good on my CV but never mind:-))

I have to tell you - with great self-consciousness - that I had my photo taken by a professional photographer yesterday and that the photo will be hung in the university with 5 other photos. Our volunteer work will be on display also. This is because the university and our organisation is in partnership through a research program that we help fund.

Doing things...... ???? indeed.....

That's what my cousin's little boy says when he is up to something.
You call out what are you doing? and his answer is things.

So Tec.....you visualize us as a group of Romans with laptops then ?.......lol

I happen to be sitting on a very old beaten up uncomfortable swizzle chair ( that squeaks horrendously )........but I was being fed chocolate a minute ago ......lol

Tecwyn Report 6 Sep 2010 23:38

Goodnight Diane,
sleep well - keep warm.

Perse - "Things" or " stuff" covers a multitude of sins lol.

Sue - Congratulations on being hung in the Hall of Fame, you're already a star of radio and television, but I hope this celebrity status won't change you lol.

Amanda, I wasn't digging in the cupboard for my supper because I didn't want any - so there!

Tec.

I will get a copy of the photo Amanda:-)) and yes my family are proud of me. OH was beaming while they were taking the photos.

I will request that the inscription will read "Mother of motley lot" - a very apt title, Perse

I have to go to an evening "cocktail and canape" do for the unveiling and I'm terrified at the thought. Thankfully I don't have to get up and talk. I feel a bit silly about it all to be honest.

Tec - I won't let it change me I promise.

When I ask Joel (4 y.o.) what he did at preschool he shrugs and says "everyfing".
