Thank's Tec, I'v not seen her since last monday but do know that her mind is deteriateing sp since she became ill, she told her nephew I hadn't been in to see her, thankfully he know's that isn't so as he was there the other day when I visited.
I looked on google map's to see exactly were Porthcawl was and it is nearly a 4hr journey by car from Liverpool, and it is unlikely I would find a place to stay if I went to the Elvis festival, so it look's like I'm not going to get there after all.

Diane - it's worth looking around for a place to stay. It would be a shame to miss it when you're so keen. I'm pleased that your aunty is out of hospital - at her age any illness is a worry.

ok Sue, We'll wait 'till you're not here to talk about you :))

I think the tree ferns are about £80 - £100 here depending on size, big ones are much more.

Talking of Midsommer Murders, there was an article I was reading recently that said how many murders there had been since it started
Very unhealthy place to live, property must be very cheap.

Diane it's very difficult getting from Liverpool to Sth Wales isn't it? Just the same getting from Nth Wales to Sth. There is not even a decent road.
It's a three day camel ride from here lol.

Hello

I saw Midsommer Murders well some of it last night...His cousin is set to take over the show so I suppose that is their way of introducing him to us. I have the collection of dvds and this is the final series with our Tom. Not sure if the show will be the same really?

Hope all is well with everyone

keep smiling :-)

Sue I have already checked accomidation for the date's of the festival and most places are full and if not they are to expensive.
She must be a fighter Sue to come through this last illness, a lot of people her age don't survive a chest infection let alone an infection like the one she has just pulled through as well as chest infection.

They have the same problem were jessica live's in Murder She wrote, would hate to be around these people as everyone keep's being murdered.

Good evening/morning to all. Looks like someone finally realised it is Spring here and we are getting nice weather.

Have you noticed that they have multiple murders in Midsomer? Once Barnaby starts asking questions, there is always at least one more murder. I really think they should give the cases to someone else. I haven't seen this week's episode yet but I have recorded it and I know there is another Barnaby in it. Does that mean we won't see the wife and daughter? I like them all.

Comes in noisily:

♫♫♪♫♫♪♪♪♫♫♫ *-:¦:-*.. ° .-:¦:--:¦:-*.... °:- *-:¦:-*.. and all that jazz.

From Sue: “Why do you all assume I bought anything other than fresh veggies?”

We don’t assume Sue we know!!!!!! (^_^). Fancy not getting Diane a cream cake and then not even serving her up some Rhubarb pie with your new server.

Have you been to Lord Howe Island Tec?

Midsomer Murders is back on here again – it always takes half the village to get killed before Barnaby solves them. At least “Taggart” would always say there’s been anudder moider. Criminal Minds has just ended their season with us all wondering yet again what will happen…. all the rest of the episodes they solve in one go but the final in each series always leaves an unsolved one. Then when it comes back we go through a series of repeats first for those that missed first time around (I guess)

I was never really an Elvis fan – I liked his early movies like “Jailhouse Rock” but then the box office just cashed in on his name and he made idiotic films.
I was more of a Rick Nelson fan. “Poor Little Fool” that I am.

We are off out now – OH has just checked his pockets has got his cellphone and a nail so that should take care of everything.

Fence is just about up – goes full length of the section – they started this morning before I got up.

Goes off singing: ♫♫♪♫♫♪♪♪♫♫♫

Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above,
Don't fence me in.
Let me ride through the wide open country that I love,
Don't fence me in.
Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze,
And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees,
Send me off forever but I ask you please,
Don't fence me in. ♪♪♪♪

Evening Berona, hello everyone:-)

Berona, I think your expecting some rain tomorrow, or someone in NSW is, I heard it on the 6 o'clock news.

I had a great weekend away, I caught up with cousin's, brothers and sisters, a bit of a family reunion. One of my cousin's had come over for a holiday, we've been out of touch since we were children, so it was pretty emotional - lots of laughs too!!!

Do you all remember awhile ago we were talking about older historical Victorian towns after my visit to Daylesford?
Well, Maldon came into our conversation.
On the way home this weekend we drove through Maldon, I was sitting in the car thinking about you all, then all of a sudden, I happen to look up to see an old steam train chuffing over the overhead bridge - it was one of those unbelievable moments!!! and I just sat back in my seat and smiled:-))))

There was still lots of evidence of the flooding around the towns.
At the house we stayed in over the weekend, there was a bit of a creek that feeds water to the dam when it rains. The creek had a just about dried up except for a couple of pools of water which remained. My brother in law was poking around in one of the small pools of water and found a couple of fish, (red-fin I think) swimming around, so he caught the fish and set them free into the dam, I happily watched them swim away to their freedom - it was another beautiful moment:-))
I'm going to go back to that town to investigate it some more. Its full of history and lots of old buildings and little old gold mining huts.
