Allan,

I wish I had a dog to walk , had to have my last one, a rescue dog put to sleep when he was 18, hubby is against having another.
But I'm still trying to persuade him :)
This weather you take a brolly or get soaked .lol

A neighbour is always taking in stray dogs, I see her when I'm out walking.. with or without my brolly! So the plan is if she gets another stray she will 'land him / her on my door and he / she won't be turned away :)

Hi Pat~~
you weren't there when I started typing.. just a very slow typer!!

Good morning/evening everyone.

Sandy - lovely to see you again.

It's been a day and night of torrential rain but it seems to have eased for now. Yesterday (Monday) was horrible and we lost internet and satellite telly reception. After such a warm, sunny day on Sunday it looks like we've gone back to winter:-(

Good Morning/Evening.

Sue our weather is similar to yours, Sunday was like a summers day, sunny, warm, calm. The last two day have been dark, wet and windy. But at least you know you're heading for summer eventually.

Hello Sandie,
I do hope you manage to get another dog - my dog is an old boy now, but fantastic company.

Tec.

Good Evening Diane,

How are you today?
Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be marginally better - I hope so because I need to go for a haircut, and I don't want the wind whistling around my ears. My daughter made rude remarks about my hair on Sunday, so I'd better be brave and call on the sheep shearers lol.

Tec.

Hello Diane - maybe it's raining all around the world. I have to say this isn't unusual weather for this time of year but when we are given a beautiful warm spring day and then a few days of miserable weather it seems unfair:-))

I have the house to myself today - that doesn't happen often.

Morning all from what looks like it is to be a sunny day but I said that yesterday (Tuesday) and then it rained an hour later. But that's Auckland weather - it does not like one to feel complacent.

The first thread I came on, on chat was Suzian's thread and that is where I first met up with Diane and Sandie. I liked the thread but with being on the otherside of the world had to wait about 12 hours or so before I knew whether I was on the right track with my answer. Played havoc with my mind.

Hi Sue, the wind here is horrific at the moment and as Tec said Sunday was nice and sunny, we seem to have just gone into what we call as march wind's weather, I don't think we will have anymore sun until next summer.
What are you going to do with your day at home on your own ? One of my son's work colleague's made some banana bread for him and me, it is lovely. I haven't had some for yrs so really enjoyed it.

Hi Persey:-))

Diane - that's strange. I went into the kitchen to make breakfast and found a couple of over-ripe bananas. I thought I would make some banana bread. It doesn't last long in this house:-)) I have to do a little work this morning but then I'm going to do some scrapbooking.

Good morning Perse,

That was the thread I first came on to, I didn't realise it was your first thread, it wasn't a problem when jackie and daphne were around as they kept it going when the brit's were asleep. I still pop on there to see what's what, were you there when Shimm's was around.

Hello Diane

Mostly you, Liz, Sandie and Suzian if I remember rightly. I thought I had to start somewhere so picked that thread it looked a bit of a challenge as they were quite long ones to work out and Suzian used to come up with some doozies.
Prior to that I had only gone on tips etc.
I thought I need something leisurely so came on to this one. - Hi Sue -

So a haircut Tec - I cut my OH's hair in the bathroom - he doesn't have to travel far. My previous hairdresser offered to do his - (I am not a hairdresser and don't really like doing it much) - problem is he likes to sit on a chair au naturel.

Diane, apart from weeding the garden virtually looks after itself.

The Kangaroo Paws (flowers) are now out as are our Bluebells.

The family of bobtailed lizards are also active so we know that summer is on the way.

Perse my OH has been cutting my hair since 1970, apart from the few years when I shaved it off completely.

I've decided to go back to that style soon as it is not worth grooming the little I have left

Hi Tec,
I missed your last post hun sorry, I was just about to say ( wer has are lovely Tec gone ) and was checking to see when you had last posted and I came across the one I had missed.
I'm fine thank you for asking, arn't kid's cheeky my daughter often comment's to me when I need to put a dye on my hair, mum when are you going to sort that grey mess out, I have threatened to go old and grey gracefully and I just get a dirty look from her with the comment ( don't expect me to go anywhere with you ) she's only messing ( I think ) but I must admit I hate the thought of going grey.

Hi Allan

Do bob tailed (shingle-backed etc) lizards shed their skin? With our geckos and skinks they shed their tails and the cats don't half look surprised when all they have in their mouth is a piece of skin and the lizard has zapped off.

I make banana bread from time to time Diane and Sue - but my grandies like banana cake best especially if I put chocolate icing on it.

Hello Allan - hope you and your OH are well.

Our kangaroo paws are blooming as are the grevilleas. The honey-eaters are having a good feed on the nectar.

Diane - I'm scrapbooking some old photos that I received awhile back. I have two heritage scrapbooks as I've been lucky enough to receive some lovely photos from contacts I've made.

I've just received my hot matches and I made an immediate contact. I sent a message and received one back straight away. We are now "talking" by email:-)) I have far more info. than she has but she is so excited I don't mind passing on all the info. I have on that particular family line.
