I think if I was doing a lizard - I would make it out of scraps of coloured paper as a mosaic and then varnish it .
We have Spotlight here Sue, but some of the others shops have craft supplies - it is such a big thing here that someone wrote a book on all the places to go to through out NZ. I gave a copy to my friend who does miniatures and craftwork. Went into one shop in Waipukarau - that was all they did and the stuff the woman did there was fantastic - I got some craft stuff for Maia - she is very good at making cards etc.

I think they all choofed off because they saw me coming!

I notice no-one has mentioned tripe! I stew tripe with onion (doesn't smell nice) then I drain it and make a bechamel sauce with plenty of thyme in it; put the tripe back to simmer in it - and voila! It takes great!

I planted petunias around a tree in the caravan park and the proprietor asked me how I got them to grow, because he couldn't get them to grow in his garden, which is high up on a hill overlooking the park. The reason they grew for me, is that the wild ducks from the river come up as far as the vans but they don't go as far as the hill behind it.
I had seen a program on TV showing the winning gardens in a contest in USA and I noticed that every garden they visited had a pet duck roaming around the garden.

LOL Allan

Glad to see you have not lost your sense of humour !!!

Must go - OH has just appeared in his "patch in a pants" trousers - and told me he is a picture of sartorical elegance.
It's his own fault they have a flowery patch on them - I did ask and he did say do what you like. So he can be seen in the aisles of Bunnings sporting this flowery patch on his behind.

Bye for now

Persey

edit: I can't stand the smell of tripe cooking but it was a favourite of my mothers. They have a tripe society here... no thanks they even got them to do a tripe dish on Master Chef NZ.

My mum would cook liver and bacon and it was ok but it was something I didn't like looking at when the liver was raw. Someone once told me that they wouldn't eat anything that waste products went through and I think I agree:-))
