Sue - I've had a few "encounters" with traffic police - usually at speed - they really do not have a sense of humour.

:-)) Allan.
I'm off my friends - or that's what people tell me. The sun is shining but it's still cold indoors so I'm going outside. Talk to you all later - and thanks for the birthday wishes and laughs.

Well, goodnight to some and good morning to others.
Sue - Hope you have a happy birthday. Weather here is fine, so hope you have the same there. Enjoy your day!
Am I the only Scorpio? I find that I get on extremely well with other Scorpios.

My OH is a Scorpio Berona....
I am the well balanced one, but if a house was on fire.... do I run and get help, do I dive in and save someone, by the time I have finished going every which way but lose the house will have probably burnt down?
You are very kind Tec and Sue even though it is your birthday (my dad's birthday was on Friday and if he was alive he would be 106) there is no need to make remarks like "The hamster is Dead and would not know" ... The hamster may very well appreciate Tec's contribution... Tec likes animals and birds and Allan likes lizards and chicken.
Tec & Sandie - I have just been watching Restoration Man - the episode about the restoration of the mill in Angelsea - what a sad story, the owner was in tears and George (Restoration Man) had tears running down his face and it took me all my time not to join them. The Mill looks absolutely stunning and have just had a closer look on google. However, I cheered up because this was followed by Midsomer Murders and that was good for a laugh not only 1/2 of them dead, but they couldn't pin the crime on anyone she took an overdose, but it is okay Barnaby had a great admiration for her... she didn't actually do the killings but she caused a few of them. Very intriguing... I am off to gather a few Amanita virosa.
Enjoy your birthday Sue (^_^) love and (((( xxx))))))

Hi all~
Happy Birthday Sue :)) Hope you're having a good one☺☺☺
Allan , my gosh, no ! No way did you offend me, my absence after my last post.. for which I apologise for not saying good night or good bye to every one was cos hubby wasn't really tired ! If you get my drift.lol Went to put the lappy on and dau commented on how early her father had gone to bed on a Friday night !! No competition had to be bed calling. ))
I think, (but will check) that the Diane who asked for help re Aussie cemeteries is our Diane.. may be wrong cos it's a wonder she didn't ask on here first... so I maybe wrong, good of you to reply anyway:)
Persey, Are you a Libra lady too, it's those who are supposed to be balanced cos of the scales ! I must google about the restoration of the mill on Anglesey ..or ask my bil he lives there.
Oh Berona. Hope you don't have a sting in your tail.lol Sure you don't.☺☺
Speak to you later Amanda and Tec , hope you're having a good day, it's fine here, got a few lines of washing dried, but gone a bit cloudy now.
Hubby and son are off to return his 32 inch tele ( he bought it ) cos the controls aren't working properly, it's very heavy and needs 2 to carry it any distance !
Hope I haven't missed anyone, I'm afraid to go back and check previous pages just in case I loose all my typing.lol. Speak later

Hi Diane,
hope you got your things sorted yesterday:)
It's strange GR would let someone else have the same board name as you : When I changed my name for Xmas ,I couldn't get Sandra,Sandie or even $andie back, cos GR said they were already held by some one else ! hence I remain as my board name, but always sign as Sandie, not to confuse.

Hubby has now suggested cos son's Tv will take 16 days to repair replace or refund ..in that order that he has mine from the kitchen ! in the meanwhile..very kind of him .lol

God evening Sandie the thing's I had to do have now been done, just some paperwork stuff that needed sorting and shredding and bill's to bring up to date, that kind of sorting was what I meant. I had got behind with everything and needed to stay away from lappy and get on with it.
It is strange she was allowed the same board name, I know there is another Diane but she spell's her name with two N's. I don't care as long as neither one of them upset's anyone and they think it is me. If ever there is a problem I will add LL to my name.

Hi Di, No the Diane that asked on General about Aussie cemeteries only had one n in her name, I didn't check her No.and did think it would be unusual for it to be you as you post on this thread already and would have plenty of peeps to ask:) I'm going to watch the X Factor now and I believe Phil Collins is on later :) So may speak to you a bit later.

Greetings from the Land of Myth & Magic.
Diane you have reminded me,I should also be catching up with paperwork - such a boring job - I have piles of shredding, filing, sorting to do, and as for my genealogy files, well that's another story - scribbled notes and bits of paper all over the desk - I need a secretary!
Sandie - I hope you get your kitchen tv back soon, but think of the masterpieces you can cook up, because you will be paying full attention. Now pouring with rain up here, and my cave is leaking too.
Persey - The restoration of the Mill on Anglesey sounds interesting - I haven't seen that, but will look for it. The National Trust have made a fantastic job of restoring the 13th century Cistercian Monastry that my friend owned and farmed until he died five years ago. I love to see these ancient buildings restored. I'm sure I got Brownie Points in Hamster Heaven!

Good evening Diane , Sandie and Tec ,
I hope you are both enjoying your TV programme and that your not getting surrounded by soggy shredded paper Tec in your leaky cave ...lol
So we can add a Scorpio and another Pisces to our list then .
I tried to get a bit of gardening done earlier but no sooner did I get out there than my son and his G/F arrived for a visit and I had to stop . Before they left , middle daughter and B/F had appeared with Emily , so now I have her overnight as they are busy painting the flat and don't want in her in paint fumes( gloss paint ) . She has gone off nicely to sleep , so fingers crossed I'll have a quiet night , her cough has more or less cleared up and she is now sporting some back teeth !!!.....lol
Hope you had a wonderful day Sue , did you get lots of lovely gifties ?

Happy Birthday Sue. Not sure what day it was on but hope it was a lovely day for you nonetheless.
I've been away for a while but hope to be able to visit more often from now on. I'm in the middle of my big work period now and it will last until around mid October. I'm travelling a lot - for work that is. I do around 200 klms per day minimum at present. I've been down to Mission Beach (Qld) for a week where the weather was just glorious. Lovely blue skies and hot days. Then back to work in Cairns. Still no prettier regional city in the world, I'm convinced. Next week it will be off to the Daintree. (Any of the topsiders who are interested should look up www.cairns.com) I should be up there for almost a week and hope that I get back before the rains start in earnest. It's very easily possible to get marooned if the rains start and the creeks flood. Guess if that happens though the company will have to pay for me to stay there. Shock! horror! imagine that. LOL.
Haven't read all of the recent posts but agree that we have a bit of a problem government-wise now. I just read on MSN news that Julia Gillard has said that some of her election promises may not come to pass. I hope that people realise that the reason for this will be because she doesn't have a majority. Abbott would have faced the same dilemma if the Independents had gone his way but I've heard him the last couple of days still just attack, attack, attack the government and calling them liars (virtually) instead of even trying to do what may be best for the country. It's this part of him that I don't warm to. I don't particularly like Julia and her party but I can't stand all this negativity, nit-picking and carry on that Abbott goes on with. He sounds like a spoilt child in a lolly shop who's been told NO.
Grrrrrr.
Anyway, I'm off to another day at the salt mines. Tough day today. Have to go up to the northern beaches and visit people for work. Tough life. But someone's got to do it.
If anyone happens to be interested in what I do, go to www.livinginaustralia.org I go out an interview the households that are panel members for this study. Greatly interesting and rewarding job and I get to make good friends. Almost become one of the family after 10 years of it. And that can be very painful at times.
Cheers everyone. Hope all are well as can be and happy.
Pam.
