Good Evening Amanda,

I don't like big spiders either. Always stand dithering like a big girls blouse before getting enough courage to tackle them - some are so big they need a rugby tackle lol.

The Duchess certainly is a no nonsense type of lady lol.

Sue ..... do you get a spider " season " in Aus ? I always find that it's now that the biggies appear , I hate it and am constantly on " amber alert " , OH laughs at me when he notices my eyes doing the ceiling scan before I get into bed ......lol

we had a lovely holiday thanks Amanda, well apart from the start and end. Remind me never to fly with Jet2 again.
It was lovely and warm and i topped up my tan nicely. It is horrible here, rainy and cold, I have put the heating on. It is a shame because my legs are nice and brown, but no one will see them as I have put them away for the winter. I am shattered because we didn't get to bed until 2.30am

Oops I forgot the rock Tec, I brought you a sunny smile though, will that do?

Who's Linda?

Amanda - early Spring brings out the nasties. I've noticed them out and about since the weather started warming up.

Good evening Tec, Amanda and Linda

Good morning Sue

Welcome back Linda good to see you, you have been missed.
Did you have a nice time?

Tec and Amanda, what are you like, frightened of spider's, imagine what it is like for them when they see this thing comeing toward's them with a big glass thing.

Sue, it's funny how we alway's find space for another plant.

Amanda I did enjoy my programme and can't wait for next week to see how they get on in bootcamp.

The weather in the UK has certainly took a turn towards Autumn in the past few days .
It is lovely to have you back Linda and I'm pleased you enjoyed your break ........ it sounds as if you need a rest to get over it .....lol

Tec......you might dither about spiders but I bet you don't stand on chairs to avoid them , it was impulsive and I feel like a right twerp for having done it ! ....lol

Diane ......I know it's an irrational fear ( obviously not for Sue as she lives in a place where the fear is real ) but it's just no good my trying to think how the rotten spider feels ............they have far to many legs and it's as simple as that !! And now the cat on my lap keeps looking at something that I can't see : (( lol

Normally when we pack, we then swap some clothes around in the cases, but this time our travel agent had made a mistake and told us that we could only take 15kg of luggage. We pared things down to make the weight and when we discovered we could take more, we just left things as they were. That was fatal of course because when we arrived at Split airport, we only had one case. Luckily for me, it was OH’s which was missing, but he had all the toiletries as well.

They were very good at telling us where the case was but not so good at telling us when it would arrive back.

For some reason best known to themselves, they had sent it to Las Palmas. Getting it back then involved a world tour, From Las Palmas, they sent it to Madrid, then to Moscow, then finally to Split. It then had to be sent on a ferry to the island we were staying on, so although we arrived on Saturday, he didn’t get his case until the following Wednesday afternoon. He had to buy some shorts and t shirts to keep him going

Amanda if my cat spot's a spider I let her have a little fun watching it but when she make's an attempt to get it I rescue it and put it out side and tell it not to come back.

Hello all

Amanda, admit it, deep down you really like spiders don't you! :0))

Yesterday my OH killed one of the most venomous spiders we have...a Daddy Long Legs. I tried to persuade her to pick it up and put it outside, but no, the poor thing received the rolled up paper treatment!!.

Sandie, I thought for a moment that it was me again that caused your disappearance! lol

Linda I will settle for the sunny smile then - and where do you put your legs away for the winter?

I have always sensed a spider in a room before I ever see it - last week we had a big spider on the bedroom wall - I "disposed" of it - the following night, an equally big one appeared, obviously its mate - but the creepy bit is, where were they hiding before they came out to play?

Diane .... I suspect the one the dog ate just now was the same one that I evicted earlier . I don't like to do them harm but I don't believe telling them not to return works ......lol

Linda ..... it sounds as if your OHs suit case got a good bit of globe trotting in there , what a performance .....lol.....I'm glad you got it back eventually .

I've never been abroad and the nearest I've been to lost luggage was on our return from Anglesey back in April we left the picnic / travel food outside the holiday house ! The family where not amused......lol

Diane Report 19 Sep 2010 22:42

Linda I just don't understand how they can be so stupid with people's cases ( can't they read ) I'm guessing the address you are traveling to is on the cases. not haveing traveled abroad I don't know the procedure but when I have been to the I.O.M are cases have alway's had the address of our hotel on them.
