With any luck it'll work out well for both of them and the poor lady will enjoy being with her other son. Then you may get more breaks like this. You deserve it.

Diane I hope you get a better break this time and find time to do things you want to do. My Grand daughter was in Liverpool on Friday with school, they went to the Walker Gallery, and the Library - she really enjoyed it.

Sue it is difficult trying to work out the difference in months between you and us. Hardest of all is Christmas for you in the summer, although I have spent Christmas in Sydney - it was very odd to me.

Good Evening Linda,

In-coming in your direction.

Hope you've had a good day catching up with household chores, but probably wishing you were back on the beach as well.

Been a strange day here, dull, overcast, but very warm and close.

Tec.

Good evening Tec, I actually had the washing done yesterday. That is not the problem, it is the huge mound of ironing which I am trying to ignore.
I spent the morning making even more chutney and then entertained the tourists this afternoon. There were quite a few Aussies around.

OH got up this morning, but then declared that he had a "man bug" and promptly went back to bed and has been there all day, with me tending to his every need of course.

It has actually been very warm here,so I got my legs out again and showed my tan off

Now that's Entertainment!!!!

Welcome back Linda.... you hear about people losing their luggage.
It can happen anywhere... we or should I say he took the wrong bag once in Melbourne - luckily we were still at the rental car place and they got hold of us... now I know why they want your mobile number. And to think we told customs that we packed the bag ourselves.

Morning/evening Tec and hello lovely Sue.

Nearly 6:00 am here Linda.

I'm going to a meeting this afternoon - a coffee meeting would you believe. A commitee member and I are meeting with two people from the hospital about fund raising and they suggested that we meet in a cafe and talk over coffee. I must be unsophisticated as I've never done this before. What is the etiquette involved? Do they pay for coffee, do we pay for our own or do we pay for them?

I have never been to a coffee meeting like that Sue, but try and get them to pay Sue lol

Hello Perse, they don't ask for mobile numbers here. I often wonder how many people take the wrong cases from the carousels as so many cases look alike. we have distinctive yellow tags on ours to make them more visible.

I didn't flash my legs at the Aussies, they wouldn't be very impressed by my pale golden type of tan

Persephone

Persephone Report 20 Sep 2010 21:36

Etiquette 101:

The initiators of the meeting pay for the coffee.

I like Breakfast meetings when my brekkie gets paid for!!!!

We make our cases very distinctive too.

I think that as it was their suggestion they should pay for coffee and I think I'll ask for cake too:-))
