It is ages since I went on a bus Perse, apart from the park and ride in York and that doesn't count as i drive there.I have my bus pass, so should use it more but the buses are few and far between here.

I still have my natural blonde hair Sandie, which is pretty surprising for someone of my age, I have been lucky and have never had to dye my hair. i will just let it go grey or white when the time comes

I can't take credit for the second comment on the other thread as it was down to my OH ( he being quicker witted than I .....lol )

Good evening Sandie ...... I don't and will not colour my hair , I was mortified a few years ago whilst in a supermarket my OH suddenly said " you could colour your hair " he even selected a packet of dye and put it in the trolley . I said nothing , just looked at him ! It was bought and sat in the cupboard for several months then I gave it to one of my daughters ( they like to change colour from time to time ) . I think my silence on the matter spoke volumes and he has not dared to mention the few strands of grey that I have again ......lol

Having said all that I wonder if I could do some sort of Beetroot rinse ?.......lol

Naughty.. but good joke Amanda.lol
They are all good on there, I'm no prude and get some cracking ones via e.mail which I almost cry over laughing!

I am sure my input would be very valuable Sue!!

After I pick up the car - I will go down to the wharf and swim across the ditch.

The floods have been so bad here - the Waikato River is overflowing and two of our rowers went to row a meadow. Shouldn't joke as there are an awful lot of places under floodwaters.

Amanda,
Beetroot rinse would have the same effect as red Henna, ...better off bottling and eating the beetroot.lol

It's very unusual for someone of your advanced years to still have their natural haircolour, Linda.

New Zealand is definately copping some dreadful weather, Persey.

Good Evening/Morning Everyone,

Been watching Spooks - brilliant.

As for posts on another thread - all I can say is - there are times in a chaps life when it's expediant to say nothing - so I shall say nothing lol.

Just popping to make a sandwich - will be back.

Traumatised Tec.

Ouch Sue!!!

Beetroot dye sounds good Amanda, but you will need a mordant to fix it. Urine was commonly used for that at one time

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 20 Sep 2010 22:24

: O Sue !! ......lol

Strange that you should mention Henna Sandie ..... in my younger days that is the product that I used to colour my hair ......lol.....but I just couldn't be doing with all that mess and sitting round with a " cowpat " on my head at my age would be an open invitation for ridicule and jesting .

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 20 Sep 2010 22:25

Are you serious Linda ?? Beetroot and wee ? .......I'll have to have a think about that one ......lol

Well that's an interesting combination:-))

Did you all notice that Linda ignored my comment and did anyone notice Tec sneak in and out again?

Ooh Perse you are a fibber, I have not pm'd you at all, but you are quite right, what am I going to do about that Sue?

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 20 Sep 2010 22:31

I noticed that Tec went off for his supper ( wonders if he is looking for

beetroot in his cupboards ) .

You ought to be relieved that Linda ignored your comment Sue ....you are living dangerously today . Will you be playing up at the coffee morning or are you getting out of you system nice and early ?.....lol

Linda,
You're lucky with your hair colour.
Dad was gingery blonde and at 90 didn't look as grey as I would if I didn't colour my hair. Sister is 4 yrs older than me , natural blonde and hardly any grey:((
Hubby was very dark almost black hair ( as is my son and dau ) but he's distinguished grey with a malin streak now.
Me being a golden brown colour still went grey yrs ago so I stick to the light golden brown now, but the roots are coming thro quite a dark grey !!
Hey ho that's life, go with what your happy with !
