Hello everyone - hope you are all well.

Linda - nothing worse than a bored man:-(

Perse - I'm starting to think that New Zealand has committed some great sin. All the lousy weather both islands are having.

If anyone dropped in and had a read of this thread they would think we're all crazy. We are crazy......but we don't want everyone to think that.

Amanda2003 Report 21 Sep 2010 22:32

Linda ......well I was trying to ask do they get " September showers " in New Zealand but my brain wouldn't do the equating to the correct month of their equivalent .......does that made more sense ? lol

Hello Sue ......how did the meeting go yesterday ?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 21 Sep 2010 22:33

It's April in NZ, Linda. They're a bit behind.

Good Morning Sue,

I don't mind everyone knowing I'm crazy - they tend to give me a wide berth - which leaves more space for me :))

NZ is a strange place Amanda, they have April showers in September.

Who paid for the coffee Sue?

Persephone

Persephone Report 21 Sep 2010 22:37

Linda I think Amanda is probably right we just have been led to believe it is September it is in fact a different month altogether.

Amanda... Auckland can have all four seasons in the one day. The weather is very unpredictable - you practically need your brollie with you all year round. I worked in Dunedin one winter and it only rained two or three times the whole time I was there. Now though the weather has changed and it rains a lot more in the winter down there and it snows quite heavily where in the sixties the snow flurries were few and far between.

The weather pattern certainly has changed over the years - I just hope you Brits are not in for a winter like you had last year.

Bit behind???

Lot Behind as I get older!!

Smiles sweetly at Sue - how did yesterday arvo' go?

Crazy? I try and be serious Sue... it just doesn't last long.

The meeting went really well. It would appear that they are genuinely wanting to recognize the work we do. They intend holding a luncheon for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary. I've learnt to be always on guard but we felt very comfortable chatting over coffee - which they paid for:-))

Glad your meeting went well Sue, and free coffee:))

Have you been unveiled in the Hall of Fame yet?

Tec.

Amanda2003 Report 21 Sep 2010 22:43

I'm pleased to hear the meeting was a pleasant one Sue ....and that they paid : )) was there cake ?

Persey , we can get the four seasons in one day here , the garden plants are confused at the moment and some of the Summer ones are only just getting it together to flower . I do worry about the Global Warming issue and what is in store for generations of the future all over our Earth .

Persephone

Persephone Report 21 Sep 2010 22:44

And now they are going to pay for your lunch!!! Wear your fencing gear Sue and be at the ready!!

I worry too Amanda but it is probably silly to worry as there aint a lot we can do about it. Linda could have stern words with it!!! Do you think that will work?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 21 Sep 2010 22:48

No cake - wasn't even offered:-( However we went out for tea last night and had a piece of lemon merinque pie for sweets.

Perse - I was waiting for the catch. Knowing how the hospital works we'll find out soon enough.

Tec - the unveiling is in October and OH has been invited as my consort....sorry escort:-)

Obviously you are going to need a new outfit for that occasion

Persephone

Persephone Report 21 Sep 2010 22:51

What about us - we could be the "licorice" all sorts and come along? Linda's OH needs something to do.

Edit: OMG a new outfit, but of course why didn't I think of that, she says sitting in her threadbares.

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 21 Sep 2010 22:51

Persey ...if I was Global Warming and Linda had a stern word with me , I'm sure I'm capitulate....lol

Sue ....will your OH have to walk two steps behind you on the grand unveiling ?
