Glad to know that you haven't all gone to bed! I know I've missed a couple of you but good evening and good morning to all who are here. I've actually read all the posts too! Hope all of you and yours are well, as I am too.
Looks like a lovely Spring day coming up again.

Berona Report 21 Sep 2010 23:52

Hello Perse. Yes, I am feeling much better than I felt before. The soreness in the veins is still there, but a lot more bearable....also, I have learned to live with it as it has improved.

Persephone Report 21 Sep 2010 23:59

I am glad..... maybe your veins need sweeping, like Tec's chimney.

You will have read no doubt that Sue partakes of coffee meetings and now will be attending a luncheon no less.

I do hope we will not be relegated to the bottom of her social circle and that all these meetings plus the picture unveling has gone to her head.

I might be bottom of the world, but not bottom of the heap I hope!!

I must away for the day and get things done inbetween the deluges of rain.

Love Perse xx

Berona Report 22 Sep 2010 00:08

Yes, Perse. I've noticed a couple of things which have me a little worried about our Sue.
It was bad enough earlier, when she was interviewed on a radio programme and had her photo in the local newspaper.......but did you notice that in one of her recent posts, she referred to her OH as her 'consort'? I know she corrected it, but does give us an insight to what is on her mind, doesn't it?

Persephone

Persephone Report 22 Sep 2010 00:45

And then there is the silver cake server that she recently purchased Berona....

Are you two saying Sue is going a bit STUCK up for us loany's on this thread, I hope not , I have a sister like that and I don't speak to her, she think's I'm beneath her, she is the one I refer to as the SNOB sister. I really don't think our Sue would go that far ( you don't think she will do you ) I would hate to not speak to her, I would miss the old Sue, she is so nice.

What is that Liverpool Lass up to in the middle of the night?

I have just been outside and then blew back in again, lovely and sunny so have been pulling out weeds to make room for the next lot of weeds. LOL.

Goodness me ,I see that Diane is up to her old tricks and has become nocturnal again. I think she must have a secret hankering to be a true Aussie as she likes to keep to their time scale.

Bella Louise is a lovely name Amanda, Fence is ...well maybe they can have a rethink on that one lol.

Little Eve is three months old now and is lovely, she is smiling and making noises. We are going down next weekend to see them.

I can't help snoring Diane, actually it is just a ruse to get all the bed to myself!

I have missed you again Berona, but it is always lovely to read your posts even if we don't appear on the thread at the same time.

I am going out now to have my hair cut,so may just look in the shops on the way, well you have to , don't you.

Diane

Diane Report 22 Sep 2010 18:00

Hi Linda, I was late to bed because you succeeded in keeping me away from the big bed as you intended :))
Did you notice Sue was getting worried about the communual bed lol.
Eve sound's as though she is a little cutie.

Perse wouldn't you like to know, then again no you wouldn't lol.

Our Allan is showing his true Talent on another thread, can't wait for the next installment.

I had a lazy day today, didn't get up till 1-30pm, ( mind you I didn't go to bed till 6am ) naughty me. I can't sit for too long at the moment as my hip is so painful when I'm sitting, I am thinking I may go to the Dr's and see if he recommend's I have it X-rayed or I may bypass the Dr's and go straight to A+E .

*$parkling $andie* Report 22 Sep 2010 19:00

Hi all~~
Hope everyone is well,( Di excluded as you've said about your probs )
Making the most of your 2 weeks hols already .lol

Hope you can get things sorted, going to A &E make work quicker.
It worked for my hubby Di, he came home from playing squash one evening and once he'd got out of the car he couldn't move, knee just froze.
He'd been on the NHS waiting list for ages and ages, so I just bundled him in the car and took him to A & E. Had to have a wheel chair , was able to limp after a few injections but had keyhole surgery on his knee within days !!
Got probs with his other knee now !! Too much sport when he was younger, rugby and squash. My friend who was a PE teacher and well into sport has recently had ops on both of her knees, she was 53.

I checked with the Orthopaedic Neurologist's waiting list for my hand and it could be 16 to 20 weeks from referral !
It's going to drive me up the wall by then:((

Yes Allan's stories are very clever:)) and I'll look out for his next instalment.

Speak soon

Good evening all the topsiders, and an early good morning to the downunders.

8pm London time = 5 am Queensland time. Well, Aussie time because those southern states haven't gone to pretend time yet (read also as daylight saving). We've got so much daylight up here in far north Qld that we don't need to save it. We can squander it all we like and there's always some left over for the tourists who come up from southern climes just to see what proper daylight and sunshine look like.

Mind you we're getting lots of rain too at the moment. I was checking on the weather yesterday because I'm scheduled to go to the Daintree Rainforest for work next week. Right next door to where I'll be staying is the Daintree Tea plantation and they have a Bureau of Meteorology rain gauge (is that what they call it??) there and it had registered 117mm in 24 hours. Wow, that's a lot a' water.

Where is Allan disappearing to? Another thread?? Really???? Well, then, we'll just have to find a way to lure him back here. Do you think our feminine wiles (for the ladies) complete with perfume and cooking skills would do it? Maybe the blokes could use their well honed conversational skills and talk about 'blokey' things (other than wheelie bins). We must put out thinking caps on.
