Sue the evening was a great success all round for you all - I'm pleased it went so well.

Amanda - Glad you heard from Captain Bligh - wouldn't you have had a surprise if he'd said "We're just passing Gibraltar" lol.
That spider is far more frightened of you - think about it.

Bye Persey - Enjoy your Sunday - take care.

Tec.

Tec.....I would have been more than surprised if he had mentioned Gibraltar , he only took charts that cover a small section of the East coast ...lol

Your quite right , the spider is scared of me and I did try to unsuccessful catch it under a mug , which is why it scuttled away under the arm chair.

On that note I'm going to scuttle away to my bed ( when I'm asleep I can't see them .....lol )

Night all and Good day to the Aussies: ))

Hi all ~~
We've been off the net AND the land line phone since about 4pm, just came back on !

Glad you enjoyed your parties Sue and Linda:)

Sorry your hip is still playing up Di, tho you're on hols at the mo,is it a problem with what work you do?

Berona, I did ask yesterday, probably got lost in all the fast flowing posts, are you in the Northern or Southern hemisphere, I get confused ?

Amanda, we've had lovely weather here today, shame( for him) hubby has to come home early from his trip, but best to be safe than sorry, and you'll get your boiler sorted. I'd be beyond myself with worry if hubby was out in rough seas!!

Tec, is that doggie going upstairs to bed without too much trouble,or are you having to 'set' the Duchess on him:)

Perse, so you are now 12 hours in front of UK .. makes it easier to figure out the timings .lol

Haven't seen Allan for a while, did have a few words on my Food thread:), nor Pam ,but I don't think we have spoken yet.

Hubby has a project going now.. to completely rearrange the bathroom.
Pine laminate floor is up and tatty old carpet put back down for now, tiles off one wall and he hasn't booked a plumber yet.
Looks a bit like a war zone.
He has all the tiles and flooring and the taps tho .lol
Shower unit and rest of bathroom fittings to be ordered asap.
Phew we'll get there soon hopefully:)

Hi Sandie - hope you are well. I hate renovations - the disruption is really annoying. Nice when it's all done though:-))

Berona is here in Australia - actually only about 1 1/2 hours from me. I'm south of Sydney.

Goodnight Amanda - you'll be glad to get your OH back home:-))

Hi Sandie,

Ianto has been quite good the last few nights, but I have to play the game by his rules apparently. I have to go up first, then when I'm ready for bed, go back down for him when he will go up straight away- what a performance - strange dog.

You mentioned the Glogau Welsh gold - I have an aquaintance who worked for them as a designer when the mine was operating near Dolgellau - he now has his own jewelery business.

I completely re-vamped my bathroom last year, what a job, particularly as it took 22 sq metres of tiles.

Sue,
I really don't mind the disruption of alterations, but we only have one bathroom so need the fittings ,especially the toilet done in the shortest period of time .lol
I thought Berona was from Oz, but she threw me the other night (midnight our time ) by saying she' just got on before midnight !...lol
My cousin who was an Air hostess with Qantas lives just North of Sydney, as does my neighbours dau. Other cousin lives in Adelaide. ( Both Welsh born )

Tec,
Hubby will be doing the tiling, ours is about 20sq metres , hope we don't run out!!
I love the Clogau designs, am going to a local jeweller on Mon to check the exact size I want and then will he ordering, on be half of my hubby, a Cariad ring:) Bet your designer acquaintance is doing well in his business now:)

Berona Report 26 Sep 2010 00:57

Hello whoever is still here (is anyone still here?).

Sandie - sorry I forgot to answer you. Yes, I'm an Aussie, but I think Sue is a little closer to the water where she is and I am in Sydney, which spreads from the eastern coast to about twenty miles north, west, and south. I am on the western side of Sydney so we don't get the sea-breezes here and whilst we can often compare our weather and it seems to be the same, there are times when she can tell us that they are having heavy rainfalls and I can be lucky to get a few sprinkles!

Berona

Berona Report 26 Sep 2010 01:05

Sue and Amanda - I'm so glad you enjoyed your parties. My youngest grandson will be four in October so I suppose I will have a party to go to. There are only five days' difference in our birthdays and for the past two years, he has had a party - then a second cake comes out for me! I just hope they don't make a habit of it!

I go to the parties which are held at their homes, but was quite happy to decline when the older ones have had their parties at McDonalds, The Swimming Centre, or at the on-site caravan.
