Bye Perse:-))

I've been known to be a little bit mischievous at times. I do try to liven up our open meetings to make them more enjoyable and encourage people to attend. Doesn't work though.

Oops! Diane - it's October, not September for my birthday.
The days go fast enough now and I'm getting older faster these days. Please don't make me older any sooner than necessary.......and yes, Perse in right. I will be 39.

Berona I couldn't go without saying Hi - you so often post just after I announce my retirement I'm beginning to get a complex lol.

You're obviously 39 this time, as you were 38 last time it follows, hope you are still getting better, well not in such pain anyway.

Tec.

Many Happy Returns to you Sandie.

Berona Report 27 Sep 2010 23:33

Yes, Tec. it's still there but I have learned to live with it and have learned how to sit in a chair and lie in my bed in positions which allow me to sleep.
Very nice of you to come back to say "HI".

Sue - is it daylight saving for us THIS weekend - well there you go, Sandie - that should confuse you even more so!
I don't think it will make much difference to me - I have to keep checking the computer to find out what day it is!

SueMaid Report 27 Sep 2010 23:36

Hello Berona - I think so because my son rang last night and said he was looking forward to daylight saving. When I asked if that was at the end of the month he said no it's this weekend.

Goodnight Tec - sweet dreams.

Berona I'm pleased you have learned how to cope better - I suppose we learn how to cope with anything if we have to - but hopefully you won't have to much longer and things will improve for you - I do hope so.

We frequently don't know what day it is, and have auguments over breakfast - what a state to get into to lol - but does it really matter? unless you have an appointment that is.

Well I really have to go now, talking of appointments, OH has a blood test early tomorrow morning.

Enjoy your day Berona, Bye.

I'm wearing my Breo XL watch hubby bought me,and hope that my Clogau Welsh gold ring will arrive tomorrow...No..in the morning, it is now Tues the 28th.lol ( hubby ordered iit over the net cos there was no p & p to pay and to get the 25% discount-- worth it on £350, but you had to buy direct from Clogau, not a local jewellers )

I'm late on line,so have missed Tec, Di and Pat...Hope you all sleep well:)

It's miserable when you can't get comfortable with aches and pains, I have probs with my hand and wrist, so know how miserable it can be, doesn't bother me too much in the day unless it is cold...Not looking forward to the winter !!

Give 'em 'hell' at your meeting Sue, should brighten things up.lol

Perse, spend as much as you want in town,it's on me !..lol

Berona, sorry that you have a health prob that you have to learn to live with, sometimes it's better that way than taking a load of medication:)
Ageing even at 38 doesn't come by itself !

Oh gosh, talking of age I have to remember now when peeps ask my age it's not the same as yesterday, I'm now 41.lol
Can't be 40 forever, tho it would be nice, don't they say life begins at 40:)

I met a probation officer today who was from Brisbane, tall , dark , hadsome and real fit !!! A lovely guy, we were talking about my limited knowledge of Oz and his of the UK.lol...What a conversation !

Have a good day all you down under:)~~~~~~
Bye for now
Speak later:)

Edit..Thanks Di,but you shouldn't have hun, you need a good nights rest, very sweet of you tho:))

Berona Report 28 Sep 2010 05:38

It's afternoon here and now that I have been awake for a while, I have been checking back to see what I've written in the hope that I don't confuse any more people.

My post on page 1672 did say that my grandson and I have our birthdays in October. Reading that again gave me more confidence in myself, so I checked the daylight saving while I was at it. We do start our summertime this coming Sunday and that is earlier than usual because ever since D.S. started, we have put our clocks forward by one hour in the same week as my birthday. In the past, we have put our clocks forward at the same time as you put yours back - or within a week or so - but I haven't checked that - so don't quote me.

The fact that we are doing it earlier this year has been instigated by someone who just wants to make things hard for people like me....and just to add more confusion, DS will be observed in the eastern states of NSW, Victoria, Tasmania but not in Queensland. In the central states, South Australia will have DS but the Northern Territory won't...and Western Australia won't be observing it either.

Diane - when I said that we will be changing our clocks around, I meant ALL of us, because last year, we had more time to talk to you when you were on normal time and we were on summertime. You won't be going off to bed and leaving us so soon after we join he thread.... and we won't be telling you to go to bed!

Happy birthday Sandie, I hope you have a lovely day. happy non birthday Berona and hello to Pat, get to bed Diane!

I have been up since an ungodly hour, well 7am which is very early for we retiree's

My sister has been staying since Sunday and has now gone on to a works conference in Durham city. She has left most of her stuff here and will collect it in a couple of days once the conference has finished. She lives in the deepest countryside,so doesn't like driving in cities, so she has left her car here and gone on the train to Durham, I had to take her to the station in the middle of the night (well 7.45 am)

I was a bit down on Saturday, thinking about the events of a year ago, but we went to the cemetery on Sunday and tended to the grave, replaced the flowers etc.

Yesterday I took my sister shopping, in my defence I didn't buy anything, probably because I had bought lots of stuff the week before lol. My sister still works full time and living far from any large conurbations, she always relishes the opportunity of a good shop when she comes here. She bought loads of things, so all the trailing round was worth it.

Penblwydd Hapus i Sandie.

Hi Linda - This will seem like a very long day to you. I am like your sister when it comes to driving in the city. Having become a country mouse, and mostly having only to negotiate tractors and sheep, I am totally confused driving in the city, usually causing chaos by being in the wrong lane etc, and those huge roundabouts strike terror into my heart.

Taking OH to the hospital for a blood test this morning, so had better shift myself.

Hi everyone - have a good day/night.

Tec.
