Tec must have a big house if he has a dining table with 27 chairs

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 28 Sep 2010 23:12

That will be a weight off your shoulders Linda.

Do you think Tec will allow us to sit at the table Linda? I thought he might keep us outside in the garden. That would be nice if the weather's good but what if it's raining?

Tecwyn Report 28 Sep 2010 23:16

I didn't say I had a dining table with 27 chairs - I was counting how many seats altogether scattered about the house - strange really, as there's only two of us - we could play musical chairs.

Linda glad the Tax Man has finally woken up.

It sounds like he is going to let us in Sue
Tec.Did you count the toilet as one of them??

Persephone

Persephone Report 28 Sep 2010 23:18

The wheels of the bus go round and round but the IRD's wheels need oiling... and from time to time I think their tires go flat.
I had a letter from them once telling me "sorry for asking me for more money - the computer had not gone to the next screen and that is why the request was made"
Who did not go to the next screen?
Recently they wanted to give OH more than his entitlement. Trouble is if we had left it, when they ask for it back they put in penalties and then it another round of rigmaroles

Sorry I digress - yes you will be pleased that is over Linda.

If someone has the toilet as one of the seats

That will leave the others with nothing to go on!!!

Time I went to bed as I was up at such a terribly early hour.
I need to be up early tomorrow as well. I have someone to give us a quote between 8.30 and 9am.
The electricity is going off in the area between 9 and 12, so I won't be on line in the morning. Hopefully it won't be off that long. They are building some new houses nearby and I suspect it is something to do with that

Linda that is good at last you can bring everything to a close finally.

Sue how can that be classed as racism when he was telling joke's about his own type of people, thought it was only racism when you are makeing joke's about those of a different culture.
If that is the case us scouser's are racist's every time we tell a joke about other scouser's ( and we do that all the time ).

Perse if I say so myself hun we are a funny lot in Scouse land.

C'mon our best Maori Comedian "Billy T James" was always putting the Maori down and our other Maori comedians do the same... it's their right.

People should not take offence nor should they take the gate.

Digress away Perse, the tax people are a law unto themselves. To be honest, I am amazed that they have sorted it out this soon as they have a huge backlog. this is just the last little thing. i did most of the sharing out of the assets after the house was sold, but it will be good to round it all up. At least we did it ourselves without needing to hand it over to solicitors, that would have taken even longer.

I really am going this time lol.

Goodnight or good day everyone. i shall look forward to hearing about what you have bought Sue.
Time for you to go as well Diane before Berona comes and tells you off.

Berona Report 28 Sep 2010 23:44

Good evening/good night Linda. I have taken a half hour just reading the posts.

I, too, am concerned about these Games. Some of our athletes have refused to go and I worry about the ones who did. However, we had a lot of security here during the 2000 Olympics and everything went well - I hope the security will be enough. But, also, the fact that some of the preparations are not yet finished. However, I feel that it will be unusual for a NZ team not to do the Haka. We sometimes put on a presentation of a Corroboree done by aboriginals - similar to the Haka. I don't think these things should be stopped as they are representative of the country.

Tec - I hope that you and Linda have opened interest bearing accounts with your ten pound wins - all in the name of our cruiser. It all helps.

Sandy - hope you've had a happy birthday. It's so nice that the ring arrived on the right day for you. Don't want to put a dampener on your dreams, but it was when I found that 'life begins at 40' wasn't true, so I started over again. I'll be spot-on this year - then after next year, I'll be looking at starting over AGAIN!

I find it very difficult to say I am '40' - my daughter is 41- tho of course I could just say that she belongs to the old bloke I live with. Boom boom.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 29 Sep 2010 07:34

I can't lie either - my eldest is 36 so I can't even say I'm 50. It's that gloating Diane who needs a slap. She keeps boasting about how much younger she is than the rest of us. Well you're not the youngest Diane - Carole and Janet are......so there:-))

Boy did I ever shop this morning.....too poor to buy food to cook in my new cookware now:-))

You will have to have bread and scrape.

My mother used to say that... we never did have it though.

Berona Report 29 Sep 2010 09:36

I never had any problem saying I was forty - but I do have a problem with now saying my daughter is 40. I don't mind as long as nobody knows there are three more older than she is!

Sue - you don't have to use the cookware - just leave it out and admire it.
