Sue there is a lot of misunderstanding surrounding the Masons. I think this is due to their meetings and customs being shrouded in secrecy. Their ethos is to take care of each other and do good in the community without making a lot of noise about it.

Bye Perse enjoy your day hun, and don't worry about me, if I don't hear soon about an appointment I will see Dr again. A lot of my other ache's and pain's are down to my FM but this recent problem is different to FM ache's and that is why I went to see Dr.

Tec - my dad didn't talk about the meetings but I knew they did good things in the community. I recently went to the funeral of a man who was very involved in the Masons. The members of his Lodge turned up and I was amazed at the small ceremony they gave during the proceedings. It was wonderful and the man's widow told me later that they had all been very supportive when her husband was ill and when he passed away.

Goodnight Tec - sleep tight.

Diane - I hope you get things sorted too. It's awful when there is upset between family members but you're not the only one. I thought I'd got it sorted out but I'm now finding that the other one doesn't feel that anything has changed. I've decided not to let it upset me anymore.

Yes, I'm here. Just checking over the posts and sure enough, everyone is saying goodnight.

Nice day coming up here with a top of 21 expected. Now, that's more like Spring, even if we have had a whole month of it. I was not sure at the beginning of the month, but the weather is typical for Spring this week.

Hi~~Berona and any else around~~
Hope this finds you well:)

I've been sleeping cos of a migraine but felt the need to get up for a bit!
Taken me ages to read thro the recent postings!!

Glad you bought your cookware Sue, use it and enjoy. I love a bit of retail therapy, and anything new; Hubby's done tiled the one bathroom wall now , except for the odd small bits where he will use cut offs.
Ooh I love it already!!
Hope you g,dau gets sorted with the gromments, my dau always had probs as a little un with her ears and throat, fortunately it was always cleared by antibiotics.

Amanda, toothache is worse than childbirth !! Get yourself to the Dentist hun. I suffered with it yrs ago, over the bank holis and was attending a Christening. I soaked my gums with Oil of Cloves and 'burnt' them whilst doing so..beware.

Di, glad you can find a 'comfy' position to sit and you can rest in bed.
I get hip and knee probs on and off, nothing to grizzle about, but sometimes lying down makes it worse, so I always go for a good walk in the day, but it is a beggar if it walks me up at night,What with having to sleep with my right arm straight to releive the pain in my wrist and hand, I sometimes don't feel like going to bed unless I'm shattered.lol

Linda, the funny Welsh non conformists are only in the North, where the real Dragons live ; I've seen one or two ,bil lives on Anglsey , and NO one wasn't my mil.
Hope you enjoy your stay with you dau over the weekend and the meet with your son , safe journey.

Isn't it funny (perhaps it's me .lol) when your kids finish Uni and stay at home after you can't wait to be shot of them , they become bossy so independant ( that's good ) but they tend to think of our home as just theirs , and me as the slave ! Things must change..lol
Any young eligible young lads out there.that I can marry my dau to ? Dau is the worst , she lived away for 3 yrs. Son travelled daily.
I couldn't hack it myself , i lived at home for a yr after college ,was engaged and moved out when I was 22 , dau is 24.. no sign of men friends on the horizion...home comforts too good !!
When and if they leave home , I will be hankering to see them , no doubt !!

Someone is having a haircut on Thurs , cant remember who , not going back to check , will loose this typing !!
Don't envy you , I have an apt for Friday , but I would rather go to the dentist !..Hope you are pleased with your stylist ; I will probably come home and chip a bit off here and there to get it as I prefer it.
My hair is curly and does it's own thing !
I was looking at a photo of me aged about 6 and my hair still grows sideways and kinks in the same places as it did then!
Grows like a bush.lol

Tec,that dragon must have winged his way up to your area as we don't see many around now !! Poor Duchess having a lion wee over her ; I would have demanded a new coat!!!.from the zoo.
Hope you have Ianto's sleeping pattern sorted now, now that he knows who is 'boss'.lol and that your knee improves.

Sound like pleasant weather for you Berona , wish I could say the same for us, however it's a beautiful clear sky at the mo , been looking at the stars and trying to make out the constellations ;)

Goodnight and good day to all,and apoligies to anyone I failed to mention by name ( there's getting so many of us lately..goody !! )

Please excuse any spelling or typo errors as this 'thing' (hubby's laptop doesn't spellcheck in GR)

Nite all~~~~

Hi Persey,

Forgive me I didn't speak to you before;((
Hope this finds you well:)
All this talk about age.lol
What the he*l..?
You are as young as you feel !... Or as they say.. the man/person you feel !!!
I don't know Janet, but maybe a contender for the youngest , not sure about Di.lol.. I was late having my children.
A debate for later on...
Will each reveal their age..?, I've no probs , other than remembering it,lol

I think I'm tired enough to go to bed again now ! my eyes think so anyway.

Speak to you later...

Hello everyone☺

Ive just been reading all the posts - gee, you all make me smile - thanks.... xxx

Tec, Its very interesting reading about the masons, I really don't know a lot about them. Reading everyone's posts, now I'm interested to know more!!

How is Lanto? My golden lab, Honey is getting on in years now, she'll be 11 next May. She is starting to go a bit deaf as I'm having to go looking for her at mealtimes.
So sorry your having problems with your legs... loving cwtches.

Diane, so sorry you've been having a lot of pain lately - take care of you, lovely lady xx

Sue, I bought myself a scanpan, a (deep-ish) frying pan. Its been the best investment, I use it all the time - even for stir-fry's, as my family love them.

My youngest had grommets when he was about 1 year old, it was the best thing we did, as he has never had an ear infection since. xx

Persey, How is your foot healing? I thought about you the other day when I nearly tripped and fell on my front door step, in too much of a hurry. I hope you are keeping well xx

Pasta night, tonight - so I'd better get cracking!!!

~~~~~~ to all ☺
Hello Carole,
We do tend to talk about anything and everything on here....
I do know that my dad and his brother were Druids - not that they did anything- I still have my father's pay in book and his letters from them... but I had wondered for sometime about their Grandfather - dad always said he was a druid and when I looked up their emblems etc they are all swirls and crosses in celtic designs. The thing is my great grandfathers piece is like the Masons as Tec says but they have a compass and set square and sometimes there is a letter G in the middle. Mine has also got a pocket knife and the letters IPM in the middle and I cannot find anything about it on the net.
My cousin that is a bit younger than me is a Mason as is his mother's brother.
Years ago we saw a TV Movie called Secrets and this girl's father had died and she discovered his Masonic garb in the attic but she also found a small tin of condoms and she thought that they were part of the Masonic Rituals and she and some friends blew them up like balloons and were having their own somewhat crazy ritual. The father was not going to Masonic meetings when he should have been.
Hope you are keeping okay, please do not replicate my tripping about.
My foot just doesn't always want to do what I want it to do but other than that, it improves day by day (or so I tell myself).
Take care & hello to the family from me.
Love Persey xx
Edit: Tec: I haven take a couple of photos of my gold piece of whatever and will download and send to you at some stage. Pxx
Hiya Persey☺
Either you have mentioned the movie Secrets before, or maybe Ive seen it mentioned elsewhere☺ Interesting.....
My family are all well, thanks.
Poor OH though, has hurt his leg playing Softball and is off to have scans on it on Monday, he's been in a lot of pain, and boy does he make sure that I know all about it!!! He's been very stubborn, in getting to the doctors as usual!
It t'wasn't me that mentioned it - I could not remember the name and OH was no help but he tried. You have no idea all the different names I put in on google to find it.
Sorry to hear about your OH and obviously you are hearing about it...
Years ago himself had been working on one of our old cars late at night - next thing he was coming inside limping - I thought it was his leg but no he was holding his hand between his legs and I thought hmm yep that would be painful. He couldn't speak he was too busy moaning and then he held his hand out and I thought oh he has hurt his hand..I went to get a hot flannel thought I better do something and when I put it on his hand....... "no you daft beggar" (polite version) it was his finger. Once again I failed nursing 101 - but he had hurt it - dropped the petrol tank on it and had to get it out etc.
As Amanda was saying something to the effect that we are a bunch of old clonkers on here with all our aches and pains.
Hope hubby is back on first base or hitting a home run in no time....
Cheers Persey xx
Now I've even missed the Downunders! I can't win.
Well, maybe I can be first cab off the rank for the next session.
We go forward one hour on Sunday, so that'll help. Then, when the Brits go back an hour it will be even better.
