I notice Diane is awol again, I hope all is well with her.

It's blowing a gale here, just been in the garden and the noise is terrific - not coming off the sea, but down the mountain. Making a horrible rumbling noise in the chimney too.

Sue - all this info that you can pass on to your grandchildren.... typing upside down, cave drawings, pictures that take up half a page and a posh cake server.

At least you know it is the wind Tec- they are still having minor quakes down in Christchurch - some people who thought they were okay went through a 5 one the other day and that has damaged their homes - they lived a bit further out. It has been over a month now and it could go on all these tremors. Beautiful old buildings having to be demolished.... but it is so hard for some people and the stress and strain is really showing.

The earth tremors must be horrendous - people living with that day to day must be so stressed.

I somehow had a feeling you were in the East :)

We always used to have a dreadful rumbling down the chimney when the wind was high, and we had back boiler , but whilst we still have the howling winds don't have that problem since having a combi fitted.

Persey, It is unimaginable what those people are suffering, and I feel so sorry for those that lost their homes, or were badly damaged, must be soul destroying for them.
Are they covered by insurance, because there is a clause in mine that states that earthquakes are not covered by the policy, like acts of war, or terrorism.

Same here except when we have severe weather, which is often in the winter' 6ft of snow and being 'stuck in'..no cars moving in our street for weeks is a bit of a pain.

Hi everyone
Yes Berona I know it's late but it has taken me 40mins to catch up on the post on here and as I have been missed I wanted to make sure you all knew that I'm fine ( thank's )
I didn't get home on Wednesday night from my friend's until 11-50pm so it was to late to get on my Lappy and Thursday my daughter and 2 of her daughter's came for tea and didn't leave till 10pm and then I spent 2hrs having a discussion with my son about his job, so this again meant it was late and why it has taken me till now to post on here.
As it is so late now and I need to go to bed I want add anything about what has been said while I wasn't here

Don't know what we can do with Diane. Posting at 1:28am and getting up at 5:40 to go to work! Four hours' sleep?

As for the rest of you clever dudes! - have you any idea what you are doing to my neck with all this upside-down typing?

It's OK Berona, I live on the top of the world, so don't need to do upside down typing. The blood rushed to my head the one time I tried it.

OH has a hospital appointment today, or so he tells me lol. It is the replacement for the one he got wrong.It is in the town about nine miles away,so we will go early and have lunch out before going to the hospital. He also has to go to the post office to renew the photo on his driving license. That has to be done every ten years and we both got new licenses when we moved to this house ten years ago. For some reason, he changed his a couple of weeks before I did mine, so I haven't got my renewal form yet

If Sue keeps up this upside down lark will have to turn my monitor on its head.

I hope he has his day and time correct and has his mobile with him Linda.

One day here I sent a text to OH's mobile as he was out and the next thing it went off on the other end of the bench top. Done the same thing when waiting for him in the car and it rings in the back seat. Lots of grrs...

I am off to bed now to do a bit of a catch up with my reading.
