Yes there are Sue, but no one very close. We have phoned a few but they all have huge long waiting lists
There is one in this town, but he is an alcoholic, so we don't trust him

Good evening Tec
have you finished the sanding and are you pleased with it. I think the lemon flavoured fybogel I have been takeing has made my arthritis worse so have asked Dr for some without lemon or orange flavour in it.
Hope you and OH are well hun and lanto has been behaving himself.

Linda I think the fumes from the wax polish has affected you hun ( OH say's he doesn't like the small of it ) and ( good morning Diane good evening Sue ) you have probably been inhaling to much lol.

Sue hope you enjoy your baby sitting of the grandchildren and that they are on their best behavour for you.

I'm just going to make myself something to eat, will be back soon

When we had our kitchen renovated we sourced our own plumber and electrician. The plumber recommended a friend of a friend who was an unemployed electrician. That should've concerned us but as we know the plumber well we decided to go with it. The fellow turned up with no equipment, had obviously been drinking and asked for money straight away. He settled for some money to buy some stuff he needed and then disappeared for the rest of the day. As the kitchen people were waiting for him he turned up swaying and asked OH for his ladder. At that point OH asked him to leave. We never saw him or the money again although he did leave some stuff he had spent a minimum of money on. The plumber was mortified and the kitchen was delayed by a day because we had to hunt down another electrician.

I think it is the Aussie Wine I am drinking Diane which is responsible for all the typos. It must be off, maybe I should have some more just to check it out

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Oct 2010 22:00

lol, you should have just let him get on with it Sue, What could possibly have gone wrong.

Did I mention the lorry load of Aussie wine bought on your card Tec?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 8 Oct 2010 22:02

No Diane I haven't finished sanding, got lots to do. I'm hoping to persuade the Duchess to go out for the day tomorrow as we won't get such lovely weather very often now will we. I fancy a trip to Newtown or Welshpool.

Linda you disappoint me - I send you shopping with £10,000 and you come back with wellington boots, albeit diamonte encrusted. I would have though that Swiss Finishing School might have taught you how to spend money.

Sue - Talk to Linda will you?

Tec.

SueMaid Report 8 Oct 2010 22:04

You have been frivolous Linda. Although wine should not be thought of as frivilous - more a necessity:-)) Tec's not too pleased with you Linda so we may have to have a little chat.

What could go wrong with a drunken electrician - not much I guess:-))

Wellies and a lorry load of wine Tec.
Oh did I say diamonte encrusted, that should have been diamond encrusted

SueMaid Report 8 Oct 2010 22:13

Is there anything interesting at Welshpool and Newtown, Tec?

S x

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 8 Oct 2010 22:18

Powys Castle is near Welshpool Sue, but the Duchess isn't into castles , so Newtown is a better idea - I like the shops there which are in rather a small area that would suit OH better as she wears out quickly these days.

Linda are you sure all that wine is good for you?

Tec.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 8 Oct 2010 22:22

It sounds like a lovely day out, Tec - hope the weather stays nice. The lure of the shops may do it - especially with all your money. The Duchess could have a field day:-))

Aussie wine is therapeutic - everyone knows that:-))

I think it's time somebody shot me.

I have sent somebody a text message to their landline, and was wondering why they didn't answer me.

Sometimes I think I'm just too old.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Oct 2010 22:24

It also makes you make lots of typing mistakes Sue, so I have just been and made coffee instead.
I hope you do entice the Duchess out tomorrow Tec,she can spend money on our behalf

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Oct 2010 22:27

With some phones you can send texts to land lines Tec. When you answer, a robot voice reads it out, or sometimes Dr Who reads it out to you. That is true by the way, not some wine fuelled fantasy

Persephone

Persephone Report 8 Oct 2010 22:29

Is Linda getting quilticated again.... oh dear.
On Ozzie wine as well - watch out for her boomerang throwing.

I think I would be worried about an alcoholic watch and clock repairer - though you could end up going back in time with it.

Sorry Diane don't do headstands anymore more sort of flop overs and look stupid (which is not hard). I can still do a backward roll though, but not with a very dignified get up off the floor afterwards manoeuvre.

Tec - yes we do have earthquake and flood insurance here. Of course some homeowners are not insured so the government has to step in and assist and those that are insured will only be covered for a certain amount and the shortfall will have to be made up.

Finished your ironing Sandie?

Persey
Oh and morning Sue...(^_^)
