We get the manure for free, it breaks down slowly so feeds the plants over a long period without getting washed out as soluble stuff does |

Hubby gets sack loads of horse manure for free too, to rot over the garden from the autumn, and we make our own compost, have a large garden and he grows veg on the one side. |

It's packaged fertiliser Amanda. I'm not sure what exactly it contains but when you go for a walk in spring you can tell who has it on the gardens. It really smells awful to me but obviously doesn't bother some people. I don't like the smell of blood and bone either. |
