Hi everyone
sorry I'm late and I haven't read back on the post, I have been on Ancestry for the last 2hrs and think I might have found my Birth mother's mother's name ( my Grandma ) as I have found a marriage, death and birth that all tie in with detail's of my Grand-dad's name. I will have to talk to my BM half brother and ask him if the name I have ring's any bell's with him.

Hope you are all well.

Good morning Berona - I hope you are well.

Amanda - it may well be blood and bone. That may explain why I can't stand the smell of either.

My apologies for that Linda. I had set a TV program to record to disc for my grandson, who is away until to-day, and I suddenly remembered that I had set other programs to record for myself, so I took off suddenly to make the switch of discs and when I got there, something interesting took my attention on the TV - and by the time I got back to the thread, everyone had gone! I claim OLD AGE as the cause of that! It usually works.

Good lord, OH just looked up and in the middle of the lounge ceiling, there is a huge slug. He has just removed it, but how it got in, and managed to get right to the centre of the ceiling, I have no idea

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Oct 2010 23:14

He is now cleaning the ceiling trying to remove the trail of slime

Yes Sue it is ages since I have done anything in my tree, I have only just got access to Ancestry, my BM surname is Savage-jones but I found 2 marriage detail's one was S. Jones and the other was Willmore but when I checked them both they are to the same person and the volume number and page number are the same, so changed grand-dad's detail's to S. Jones and that came up with Grandma's birth marriage and death all connecting to my BM. It was Grandma's death that connected all as she died after giving birth to my BM.
Hope you can make sense of all that.

Hi Di and Berona~~~~~~

Glad you're progressing with your tree Di, :) I'm at a standstill with mine :(

Berona, not nice neighbours to spread around chicken manure, it stinks !!

Hope you're both well :)

It must be difficult researching your birth family if you don't have much info.

I never used blood and bone. I know it's good for the garden, but it smells like a sewer.

That neighbour above was next door. I had another neighbour behind me who had twins. Her parents were out from their old country for a few months and her dad dug up the whole back yard and planted vegetables and he kept a bucket next to the fence in which he emptied the babies' nappies into and by the time it was full, I could see a swarm of blowflies hovering above the fence, !
I was so glad when he went home and his SIL mowed it all.

Yuck Berona - smelly neighbours, nasty.

Linda you should stick slug pellets on the ceiling around the lettuces you're growing up there lol.

Yes Sue I was but with a twist, my father is my real father, he had an affair, he was married and my mum was married, when I was born my dad's wife agreed to adopt me and bring me up as a twin to her son who was 2mths old. Long story put short. If you want to know more I will tell you another time lol.

Hi Amanda hope thing's are fine with your tooth now hun.

Linda did you have a rest today and leave the cleaning alone.

Hi Tec. I have to do more checking but as I can tie in Grandma's name to BM and Grand-dad and the fact that Grandma's death tie's in with birth of BM ( Grandma died in childbirth ) I'm almost sure it is the right person.
