I've just heard on the news that the first of the Chilean miners will be out soon - 10am Australian time. I can't imagine how everyone will feel.

The euro lottery still hasn't been claimed, who-ever has won it will earn 8,500 a day in interest, do you think they would give me a week's interest, 2dys int is more than I earn in a year.

Hi everyone~~

Just had the unfortunate task of phoning 2 friends whose parent have very recently passed away.
One who lives within a few miles I was in school with ,mother died very suddenly of a massive brain bleed, I see here quite often but had to ring her as soon as I found out. The funeral is on Monday.
The other I worked with, of Italian parents and she moved to Italy 29 yrs ago, the funeral was last week but I've only just heard, she's over for a few weeks so we've arranged to meet a week Wednesday.
Such a shame we only have contact with some peeps at a funeral.
Maria still sounds Welsh after 29 yrs in Italy,and she says her 27 yr old son does too.
I look forward to seeing her, albeit in sad circumstances.

It looks like the rescue will start at any time now, keep everything crossed

They have just annouced that the first miner could be on his way up anytime now, they have tested it and it is ready to be lowered down with the medic's, please god it all goes safely.

It must be a day for dying Sandie. OH's aunt died this morning,she was 94,so not a bad innings. OH's sister has for the last two weeks been taking turns with her life long best friend in looking after the friends mother. She died this morning as well.
I always enjoy family funerals. that might be an odd thing to say, but they are usually nice celebrations of the persons life

Hi Sandie - that's very sad. It is a shame when we only see some people at a funeral. I remember when my OH's aunty passed away. We had a wonderful catch up with family members we rarely see - but it was sad that it was in such sad circumstances. OH's aunty would've loved seeing the family together.
