Sue - Amanda is ahead of me. I wouldn't know how to send a 'link' on Facebook or anyhing else. I could have saved her the trouble if I had been a 'friend'. I don't use Facebook much myself, but I check on my family and friends daily. It does give us a chance to view each other's photos so if anyone wants to be my friend, I am there under the name of Berona Millard (my maiden surname).

Phew... read it and now Sue has gone back to bed, but that is probably the best place for her - needs a lemon and brandy - it it doesn't cure at least it is an enjoyable process. A couple of them and a good kip.

I will have to look up something of mine, I have a feeling that Jamaica Row that Sue mentioned is in my history - I have quite a few on both sides from London.

You are right about Victoria - Linda I did find one lot that died in Ballarat area - but think that was because he was somebody on a council. Found his wife and the rest vanished into thin air. But one perseveres.

Sorry to know you are feeling poorly, Sue. Must be the weather. I went back to sleep this morning, and dreamed that I had a cold and was sniffing a lot. I awoke and found that I really was sniffing!

Even though the earthquake was frightening and real, I have to admit that at one stage, my sense of humour had me wondering if anyone was using one of those longdrops when the quake hit!

There is a good cemetery site for Geelong,so I found quite a few of my burials there, but it just gives the dates and plot numbers, the other site has memorial inscriptions which would give better dates.

Regarding my garden , they say the camera doesn't lie but it does really as I only take photos of the nice bits ....lol....my " lawn " is a total mess and really lets the whole thing down in reality .

I didn't get one number on the lottery, and was so sure it was my turn.
Nobody has claimed the £130 million yet from last week.

Amanda: it was a bit of a joke - Berona was asking about a long drop and I sent her a photo of one a way up in the mountains on the edge of a cliff. We do have quite a few of them here in New Zealand that have stupendous views. I live at the bottom of a slight rise in the middle of Auckland Suburbia surrounded by houses.
I did have a nice garden but then when next door never mowed their lawn - I got that many weeds and whilst I was working did not find the time to keep at it. Finally when I was in the throes of cleaning it up - we got underground power lines and the hobnail boots and shovels of the workers put paid to any garden for quite awhile. I have cleaned up their mess and now have to more or less start from scratch with the exception of the perennials.

Found the Jamaica Row bit in my history - so will send that to Sue... it is a bit out on a limb of one of my trees.

I do know I would do a lot more gardening if I did not spend so much time on genealogy.

Spring is in the air here - has been every week for awhile then it goes freezing cold. I was very busy cleaning down the back of the house yesterday morning before it was suggested that we go out for the day. Temptation was too great and off I went.
