Looks like only you and me left, Perse. Or is it just me?

How about you? are you on Facebook too? I have found Sue and Amanda, so I'm going to see if I can find others, so we can see each other's photos!

Good morning : ))

Charlotte's waters have broken , I got a call at 7am , she and my son are off to the hospital for a check in about half an hour , not sure if labour has started or not but I know I've started pacing .......lol

I'll pop back in later to update you all .

Amanda2003 Report 14 Oct 2010 09:16

Hello Aunty Persey : ))

The coffee and sing song are much appreciated , this is most peculiar for me , to be on the outside as it where , when an important baby is on it's way ....I was at the births for my other three Grandchildren ( them being born to my daughters ) . This time I feel a bit like a spare part.......lol

The expectant couple have just popped in to hand over their flat keys and are off to the hospital for a check to see how things are going , they might be set back in a few hours or not as the case may be .
I'm off out now to my eldest daughters to help her get her kids room tidied up as she is decorating it this weekend .

It's all go and I'm buzzing with excitement : ))) xx

Hello Carole

OH is wondering what I am up to - sitting here grinning.
Maybe will have to sing:
The night they invented champagne....
.....was just looking up the words on google and would you believe there was a movie made a couple of years ago called "The night they invented Troy Donahue."

I am pacing as well.
I hope the labourer starts quickly on it's own, it should do as she is full term.
when my daughter had Eve, she had to go into hospital, but nothing else happened, they left her for days before they induced her, but she was a month early.

Ooh how exciting.

I hope Sue is feeling a bit better now

Berona Report 14 Oct 2010 10:21

Another auntie reporting for duty!!!! Didn't realise it was so soon and don't have any champers but I do have some Pub Squash - will that do? Persey - you can drink twice as much to make up for me.

Aren't we a cruel lot? Talking about champagne when poor Charlotte could be pushing with all her might.

Let us know as soon as you can, will you?

Pamela

Pamela Report 14 Oct 2010 10:25

Well, my timing is good isn't it? I step in the door just in time to get involved in the birth of a new person into this crazy world we live in.

Amanda, I'll pace with you if it will help. I think I'll pass on the champagne, although I may indulge in a sip. I find the stuff leaves me with a mouth that feels like the bottom of one of my bird's cages prior to cleaning and a head that I don't want to belong to the next day. And that's even if I drown it in orange juice.

It is, indeed, exciting LInda.

Now, will someone tell me what this string of symbols if before people's names such as in Diane's post on this page? I've seen it several times and have no idea what it means.

Berona Report 14 Oct 2010 10:30

I've had a day roaming around Facebook. Didn't know you were all on it and it was lovely to see all the photos!
I found Amanda and Sue, then Diane (Diane found ME!), then Carole pm'd me and I found her too.
The only one still hiding from me, is Linda. Give me time.
It was lovely to see the faces and the families - and the grandchildren are all adorable - no wonder you love them so much. I've really enjoyed my day meeting up with your families!
I'm still not too familiar with FB so forgive me if I answer one's question on another one's page. I'm sure I do that at times.

Berona

Berona Report 14 Oct 2010 10:35

What string of symbols, Pam? Are you sure you haven't already been sampling the champers?
A bacon buttie is a bacon sandwich - preferably toasted.

Oh! don't start me off again. I'm not getting the sandwich toaster out again!

Editted to note that you can say Buttie or Boottie, depending on where you live in Pommyland.

Persephone

Persephone Report 14 Oct 2010 10:38

Pam

do you mean ~~~~~~~~ this is waving to someone.
Above the tab key.

A bacon buttie is a bacon sarnie (or sandwich).

How's that cobber?

Persephone

Persephone Report 14 Oct 2010 10:41

Hello Linda see you have got your scrubs on ready.

Poor Sue is missing this, I do hope she is feeling better.
I hope I don't have to stay up all night.

Berona Report 14 Oct 2010 10:45

Pam - do you mean ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~?

She's waving to you.

Pamela

Pamela Report 14 Oct 2010 10:56

Thank you for educating this dumb bunnie from downunder. I do like a BLT from time to time myself. But alas am not to have them very often these days. Fat upsets the tum.

Yes those are the symbols Perse and now that you tell me what they are it should have been quite evident to me but, again, dumb bunnie from downunder.

No, Berona, alas. No champers sampling for me. A cup of tea will have to do it at this time of night. However, the baby isn't born yet so if we start the champers sampling now we won't be coherent enough to cheer when the time comes, eh?

Raining here right now. Frogs are having a lovely time. Especially the one that resides on the turret just alongside my bedroom door. Have to put a pillow over my head if he starts up during the night after I've gone to bed. He (or is it a she?? Any idea how one sexes a frog????) does make a huge echoing noise in the house. One of the joys of living in Far North Queensland methinks.

Maybe someone could draw up a roster so that someone will be here and they can go around and wake all the others up when the news comes through.

Amanda will keep you company. She won't be going anywhere.

Pamela

Pamela Report 14 Oct 2010 11:07

Berona, my experience of waiting for a baby to be born has always been a long, long time. And as for waking me up once I'm asleep I think that wouldn't be such a good idea. I'm hopeless without my sleep.

Thank you for the waving. I think that's really neat.

I've never been on Facebook. Wouldn't know how to access it or what to do when I got in there.

What's wrong with Sue? Nothing serious I hope????
