Pam

You might have to wait till your frog finds a friend and then it will all be very evident.
Though my cousin in the states had two male rabbits and one of them was always chasing the other one (which did not want to know).

I heard that there is a danger of flooding in Queensland. Is that up where you are? We could do with some rain where I am (western Sydney). We've had a few light showers this week - and the gardens still need to be watered but they can only be done at certain times because we have water restrictions!

Pamela

Pamela Report 14 Oct 2010 11:15

No Berona. I'm up north of Cairns and we have rain so far but no flooding. Most of the problems are in the south east around Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast which is around Yepoon and Maroochydore. Remember the kerfuffle some time ago about the dam they wanted to build near Gympie? Well, they won't need another dam for a while now. They're letting water out of the dams right now because they don't want to leave it until it's overflowing and have to let out too much. That only adds to the problem. They let our dam out up here, too during the wet season and that's when the river floods over the cause way and we get stranded here sometimes for days at a time.

Well, I'm off to bed now. I know it's early but the tablets I was on made me sleep heavily and long and I wasn't waking until after 9am. I stopped taking them about a week ago, but the sleep pattern has become a habit, so I am going to bed earlier in order to wake earlier. It's beginning to work, I am waking around 6:30/7am so I'll soon start going to bed a little later each night to get back to normal.
Don't forget to let us know, Amanda (as if she would forget!). Goodnight all. (Seems strange - it's usually the Brits saying goodnight to us!

Pamela Report 14 Oct 2010 12:07

Too true, Berona. And I'm off to bed as well. Not with tablets. I haven't succumbed to them yet. I'm taking magnesium though because I've started to get cramps in my lower legs at night.

Anyone got any suggestions/cures for that? It's only been happening in recent weeks. Never had them before and now seems to be every night. Darn it.

As my Dad told me some years ago. "You've got to be tough to grow old, love." I'm thinking he was right.

Good night all.

Pam.

Hello again everyone . Thank you all for adding to the excitement ....lol
The expectant couple have been sent home for the time being , they had Charlotte on the monitor for a couple of hours , she is getting contractions but nothing very strong , they have said that if labour hasn't established itself by 8am tomorrow morning then she will be fitted up on a drip to get it going , as she is at risk of infection now the waters have broken .

So , you lovely band of Aunties you can all stand down for the time being .

Berona , I'm so pleased you have enjoyed all the photos on Facebook , I shall have to try and find the rest of the thread members myself : ))

I hope Sue is feeling a lot better and has had a jolly good rest .

It must have been amazing for you to have been at the birth of your other grandchildren.
I fear that that if I'm asked, will be quite a way off for me.lol

Pam,
Regarding symbols.. can't see anything on this page on Diane's post other than ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is that what you mean ?
If so , it means 'waving to, or saying hi ' :)

Hello Sandie .... I hope you enjoyed being home alone ( I don't get the house to myself very often and enjoy it when I do ...lol ) .

The latest news for the pacing Aunts is : Charlotte managed to get a bit of a snooze this afternoon and is now feeling more invigorated , the contractions are getting stronger but they haven't got into a set pattern yet . I did predict earlier today that Luke would be waking me up in the early hours but I'm starting to wonder if they won't be off to the hospital before I retire tonight ....... I'm all excited again ....lol

This is sooooo exciting Amanda - I remember pacing for Emily. I might be a bit wobbly but I'll be pacing with you all:-))

I spent most of the day in bed resting yesterday. I feel a little light headed this morning but the headache has gone as well as the usual aches and pains you get from a nasty head cold. So - onwards and upwards:-))

Isn't our Berona a lovely lady?

Amanda2003 Report 14 Oct 2010 21:22

It is Sues big day Linda ....and she feels a little nervous .

Your garden looks lovely by the way , very tranquil .

SueMaid Report 14 Oct 2010 21:24

Yes Linda - this evening is the unveiling. I'm getting nervous now. Of course my picture isn't the only one. The invitation says 'smart casual' but I know all the women will be dressed to the nines. I'm not often in a quandary about what to wear but I've already changed my mind a couple of times.

In the meantime we have our newest arrival to get excited about:-))

Amanda2003 Report 14 Oct 2010 21:35

So what are your choices of clothes for this evening Sue ?
I hate having to look remotely smart myself as I'm just a tatty bogle at heart ...lol

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 14 Oct 2010 21:39

I have a good pair of black trousers that look very dressy depending on what top I wear. So do I wear a smart blouse and jacket or do I wear softer, dressier top?

Good evening Diane ...... I hope we are all in suitable footwear for pacing as we might be at it for some time ....lol....my bunions will be cursing me in the morning .

Pam ....regarding your frogs , I think it's the males that go all the croaking but I could be wrong , I hope they didn't keep you awake all night .

Good Morning/Evening Everyone,

Amanda I hope the good news you are anticipating comes soon before you wear a hole in that carpet lol.

Sue glad you are feeling better - the light headedness is the price of fame lol. I'm quite sure you will look wonderful whatever you decide to wear. When you reach mega stardom you can have a bronze statue on the steps of the Opera House, and the Poms will have one erected in Trafalgar Square.

Hello to Linda~~~~~~~~~~~
and Sandie~~~~~~~~~~
