Tec - you have a dongle with a blue light on it and I don't think any of us can match that.

That was funny Persey, made me giggle - now I'm getting a sideways look from the Duchess, who probably suspects I'm up to no good on here lol.

While I am on here, I usually have coffee and do a sudoko or puzzle of some sorts. I also do the cryptic crossword in our weekly "Listener" magazine which has all sorts of info in it.

It also has a general knowledge crossword which we do together in a coffee shop. One of the general knowledge questions was:
The name of which shooting device sounds like a standard New Zealand greeting? (3,3)

Had us stumped for awhile.

edit: well better get going.... I am sure you will wow them this evening Sue... enjoy yourself.

Nite all and catch those from Oz later.

Hello Berona with the lovely face:-)) Sorry...didn't see you there.

I must be off and start the day. We have to make sure we're rested as we may be pacing the floor or celebrating the new arrival. Champers at the ready:-))

Good night Brits and a good day to our Aussies and Kiwi.

~~~~~~~~~to all looking in.
Well, Tec I guess anywhere is a long way from somewhere depending on where each of them are. Sorry, I'm being a smart A. Cairns is approximately 1600 klms from Brisbane,a which is approximately 900 klms from Sydney. The road from Sydney as far north as Rockhampton (which is about 600 klms north of Brisbane) is very good. Although most people still whinge and whine that it isn't a good road and it's the roads fault when there are accidents. Yeah, right!!! Never the driver not driving to the road or weather conditions, is it?? From Rockhampton onward it gets a little ordinary but it's OK; providing you drive to the conditions. I've driven from Cairns to Sydney several times in the last 10 years. Up until I found out that I can put my car on the train to Brisbane and get a pensioners ticket for a sleeper for about the same cost as it would be to drive to Brisbane. Costs about $300 all up, which isn't bad. Don't think I"ll be driving all the way again. Last few times this year I flew but that was when my son was ill and I didn't want to waste time driving.
Nice drive though and lots of interesting places to call into on the way. Have you checked out the website cairns.com.au? That's interesting too. Shows a fair bit about the area where I live. I'm at Kuranda which is up in the mountains north west of Cairns.
Same from me, Sue. I missed what it was you were doing, but have picked it up again this morning. Hope you have a lovely day.
Good night Tec. I hope you have enjoyed pacing the floor with us. We won't wake you (although I can't vouch for Amanda's actions) so I hope you and the duchess have a very peaceful sleep.
What's with 'the lovely face'? Are you sure you have the right page? This is ME we're talking about. I don't even like looking in mirrors and only do that when I comb my hair - to make sure no extra bits are sticking out in the wrong direction.
Hello everyone ,
They left for the hospital about an hour ago , Charlotte looked very relaxed
her contractions are about every five , sometimes three minutes so
hopefully they will say she is in active labour now and not have to fit her up
to anything .
I'm off to find something constructive to do ( fat chance really as I know I'm just going to hover over the phone.....lol ) .
I'll be sure to keep you all posted .
Sue .....I hope your evening has gone brilliantly : ))
I feel a lot happier knowing that Charlotte is back in hospital. That's where I like them to be once the water breaks. Well, I haven't been very far away from the computer yesterday or to-day.
Yesterday, I was back and forth to FB - I didn't expect to have five of you all becoming my 'friends' in one day! I was enjoying looking at your photos. Then, to-day, I checked out my own photos and found that you had been there already! Some very nice comments were made on them too, thank you very much - but I think I need to update them.
Hello Linda and Berona:-)
I am also glad Charlotte is in hospital, its the safest place to be when your waters have broken. Hopefully it wont be too long now:-)
Ive also enjoyed looking at everyone's photos, its so nice to be able to put a face to a name.
Our weather is terrible down here, its rained all day and most of last night as well - the weekends not looking to good either!
My thoughts are with Charlotte and anyone else who is in the same situation. I'm going to bed soon to read for a while and hope to wake early. It didn't work very well to-day. I awoke early, but went back to sleep again........ but I'll get there!
Don't try to wake me Amanda, I sleep rather heavily at the moment - but I hope you'll have some good news for me when I do get back here around your 10pm.
Berona
Berona Report 15 Oct 2010 11:08
Sorry you are getting the bad weather, Carole. Send some of the rain up here. We have had rain forecast for every day this week and all we've actually had is a couple of light showers overnight.
