Good Morning/Evening Everyone,

Been a nice sunny day here, just as well because I was gloss painting and could have the window open.

Was researching the small Essex village where my paternal ancestors came from and discovered that in 1916 someone in the village shot down a German Zeppelin Airship that was on a bombing raid. All 22 crew were killed. The event apparently caused quite a stir, and people came from far and wide to view the wreckage, so much so that the army were called in to keep them away with bayonets drawn. My Gt Grandparents were living in the village at the time so would have witnessed this.

Hello Sue , Linda and Diane .

~~~~ to everyone else ,
I'm pleased you liked the photos of Bella , she really has got the fattest cheeks I've ever seen ....lol ....it's odd how a newborn can change how they look so quickly , I expect she will look different every time I see her , she is very compact , not a long baby , sort of stocky .
Mum and Baby are glad to be back in their home and so far all the Drs checks have been fine , she will have a scan on her hips in a few weeks ( because when Charlotte was born she had clicky hip and it wasn't picked up at birth , she wants to be doubly sure about Bella ) .
Bellas other Nanny tagged me in the photos she took just after the birth , so they are on my wall on Facebook , can you see them ? I'm not sure how my secuity settings are set on that aspect .
Good evening Tec, it was sunny here today except for a shower or two but it has gone very cold this evening, Are you glossing in the dining room which the Duchess has been waiting for you to do?
Hello Tec - what a shame you had to do the painting on a sunny day. Good that you could open the window but it would've been so nice to be out in the garden.
Amanda - I could see Bella's other Nanny's photos. Your son is very handsome and the three of them make a lovely family.
Good evening Tec ......I'm pleased to hear you could have your window open whilst painting , even though paint fumes aren't what they used to be they still can make ones head spin a bit .
Sue ....your portrait photograph is absolutely wonderful , have you been given a copy of it ?
Linda I love finding out interesting snippets of information to add to people in my tree.
Diane I'm painting the bay window in the lounge, the dining room is still waiting I'm afraid - but can't be everywhere :)) It is quite cold here too.
Amanda you must have had a very exciting day cuddling your new little grand daughter. Do they live far from you?
Thank you Sue , he will be chuffed to know that he looks handsome ...lol
Up until just over a year ago he was quite chubby and very introverted , then he lost weight , came out of his cocoon and has emerged as the young man you see today ....lol....I'm very proud of him : ))
My daughter's condition ( sheehan's syndrome ) has the same problem's as Russel and has to take the same medication as he does, if they didn't they would die.
Tec .....they live less than five minutes from me ( on foot ) , so I'm lucky to have them so close at hand .
It is chilly here tonight , we have the gas fire on in the living room and I'm sat right next to it ....lol
Linda and Diane , her hair is amazing ! I can't wait to see what happens when she has it washed , I wonder if it will all fluff up .......lol
Luke had hair like Bellas when he was born but it all fell out when he was about eight weeks old , then grew back much lighter .
I was wondering if it would fall out as well Amanda, if not,she is soon going to need a hair cut
Diane Report 16 Oct 2010 22:22
Amanda my daughter's youngest had a head of hair like Bella and when it was washed she looked like a little chinese baby and it all stuck up. If you look at my family pic's on FB the forth one of my grand-daughter Nicole is the one I'm talking about, she also has chubby cheek's.
Most babies I've known with such a full head of hair seem to lose it. She's so lovely - like Diane I want to squeeze those cheeks. Are you called Nanny by your grandchildren. I'm Grandma to mine and my OH is Grandad. There is nothing nicer than hearing them call your name - especially when you visit and they all yell "it's Grandma!!!"
I was told I would get a copy of the photo but I haven't yet.
Diane ....your Granddaughter is a sweetie-pie ...lol....yes , very similar hair .
My lot call me Nanny , talking of which I had a card thing stuck through the letter box by the post office informing me that they have a letter for me ( well it's addressed to Nanny Mandy actually ) , no stamp on it and I have to cough up £ 1.32 to get my hands on it ! Apparently it's down to Daisy and I guess I'm going to have to pay up to get it ....lol....that will be one for the " special box " of mementos !
Amanda2003 Report 16 Oct 2010 22:31
Linda ....my OH says Bella looks like a Tibetan Yak herder , I think it's all that hair that does it ....lol
