That is a good idea Diane, but a bit high Tec (ooh a pun) How about stuffing some of your old clothes with straw and making a type of scarecrow, you could print out a photo and stick it on a balloon for your head. Put an old floor mop on the top for your hair. If you had the baby alarm as well, he would think you were there talking to him

I've just been looking at them Diane ....lol.....I am amazed at her hair and the fact she kept it , lovely photos : ))

I think a hologram is the perfect solution to Iantos problem but it is a bit high tec ...lol....would a cardboard cut out dressed inTecs clothes work as well do you think , especially if positioned in front of a baby monitor that speaks in his masters voice ?

Hi Pam
I'd love a holiday, don't mind doing a bit of decorating but only if I can come for a month and spend only half of it decorating.

My eldest grand daughter used to call me knitting Nanny when she was about 5yrs as I was alway's knitting thing's for her and her sister's.

Linda , it looks like a case of great minds thinking alike here .... LOL

Hello Pam , I've never been out of England so I can't volunteer for a working holiday ( nice as it sounds ) .

Going to have to love you and leave you. My washing machine is still in getting fixed and today I want to change bed linen and take it to the laundromat. Monday is no good that's when everyone is there. It's a relaxing time either watching the world go by or reading my book sitting in the car.

In a place like Kuranda you get to see it all. The interesting ones are the Japanese who wander off the beaten tourist track and get to see how the real people live. I think they get a surprise to realise that there is more to this place than butterflies, snakes, artists and artisans, birds and food. They seem to like it though. I usually nod and say hello and get a lot of big bright smiles.

Cheers to all.

Pam.

Diane, that sounds like about what I had in mind. Wouldn't that be fun?

How do I get to see these photos everyone is talking about, please??

And remember, I'm not real smart when it comes to computor things. Now, if it was a computer spreadsheet or something to do with questionnaires or accounting, then I'm your gal. So please, KIS Keep It Simple.

I am off to bed as well. I am tired because I couldn't get to sleep last night and then kept waking up in the night, I have no idea why.
Have a good day down under and sleep well up top.

Hello Pam - thanks for your kind offer - but I think I'll pass if you don't mind, I'll be painting this place 'till I'm 103, and by then probably be too old to make the trip lol.

I think some of your ideas are very clever, but my dog is no fool, and why is Linda insinuating my hair looks like a floormop - I've not long had it cut you know lol.

I was having trouble there as the reply button went all strange .

Have a good day Pam . Japanese tourists are fascinating , we don't get them here in Norfolk ( it being a very out of the way place with nothing of much interest ) but I have come across them in the past when I have been being a tourist myself . I remember when we visited the house of Beatrix Potter in the Lake DIstrict ( years ago ) there where lots of Japanese folk about , looking very excited and taken a great many photos .

Sleep well everyone and enjoy your day to the daylight folk : ))

Diane Report 16 Oct 2010 23:27

Pam the photo's we are talking about are on Face book and we are looking at each other's pic's but to view them you have to request them as friend's and then add them.
Bye Pam speak to you later.

Good night Linda hope you sleep better tonight hun.

Bye Pam, Enjoy your day - after the washing is done.

Goodnight Linda, sleep well, keep warm.

We get some Japanese tourists here, they seem to photograph everything in sight. Mostly we get Europeans, Dutch, French, German. They terrify me on the road as they can't seem to cope with our narrow little roads with stone walls either side, so come at you in the middle of the road, then glare at you lol.
